    Coronavirus

Nothing to do with Tory hating, everything to do with a Government that is clueless, panicing, and making up Cloud Cuckoo Land policy on the fly.

    Coronavirus

Next week's volunteers could quite easily become January's CoViD patients or close contacts.
  3. If I was doing that I would go as far as Bulford, ( just before Amesbury ), then turn right ( West ), and head past Larkhill camp. It's a little over 4 miles to a right turn onto the B3086 which brings you direct to the visitor centre. The bigger problem would be getting back to your route. As far as I can see you can either reverse the above track, or from the vistor centre take the A360 southbound and cut across to the Woodfords. That does, however, mean negotiating the Longbarrow roundabout as the A360 crosses the A303.

They reckon the Armed Forces are going to help. How many secondary schools are there in England ?
  7. If Pompey is now in tier 3, does that mean that the Fisheries Protection vessels can't leave the area ?

That might be funny if it wasn't true.
  9. And did a good job of it.
  10. For her it will be, not sure what I'll get. 😉 It's bloody annoying, Ruby Wedding, both of our 60th birthdays, and a new grand daughter living the other side of Manchester, all in the midst of 'lockdown'. So much was looked forward to, and so much had to be laid aside.
  11. Coming from which direction ? Looking on mapping systems, from Bath / Trowbridge / Devizes you can come down the A360 to get to the visitor centre. From a more northerly direction you could find your way to the B3086, which stops at the vistor centre. Other than that it looks like you have to at least negotiate a roundabout as the A360 crosses it.
  12. Glad this is on the 19th, our 40th wedding anniversary is the 20th, ( Mrs B is a born and bred Blue ).

I'm not sure how you get out of tier 3, we have had a 50% reduction in the rate of infection but are staying as we were. ( We had a lower rate than London when the new regime started, but still got T3 whilst they got T2 ).
  14. Tell that to the people living on Pacific islands, or those in areas of the USA and Australia where declining rainfall has greatly increased thd risk of wildfire.
  15. I assume John lives sufficiently above sea level that the melting Greenland ice shelf doesn't worry him. He is probably as unconcerned about those areas of the Earth's surface that are currently 'green' but will soon start to become deserts.
  16. VAR would have checked it without the ref's input. The video ref decided no pen.
  17. You generally are. 😉

    Coronavirus

Threatening legal action against an organisation trying to protect it's employees from the pandemic by closing a week early, amongst a surge in cases, is grade A bullying by somebody who has been handed too much responsibility, yet lacks sufficient common sense.
