  1. Haven't watched it for years but it always amused me when Noel Edmonds would say "Well played" - it's a game of pure chance, there is no skill or intelligence involved at all.
  2. Maybe because it is called the TV Licence.
  3. I think thesse might.......... https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/oct/26/companies-that-donated-to-labour-awarded-138m-in-contracts-study-finds "The new analysis shows the pattern has continued under Labour, with eight companies that donated more than £580,000 to the party receiving government contracts worth nearly £138m within two years of their donation (between July 2024 and June 2025)." Then of course there is Lord Sainsbury, who I think qualifies as "a business person", who has donated millions over the years, and many others.
  4. I am commenting based on the businessmen I know who are members of the Labour Party, some being councillors.

Pn, in his end of year address and press conference, said "We didn't stsrt the war". All it then needed was Basil Fawlty to pop up with " Yes you did, you invaded Ukraine".
  6. You need to get out more.
  7. South Park has some exclusive pictures.
  8. During WW2 the Nazis organised a unit of fanatical bakers. They were known as the Waffeln SS.

  12. That's one less channel to watch.
  13. The Board voted unanimously for the man who appointed them and made himself Chairman. Trump was "surprised and honored" by the decison - as if. Nothing dodgy at all. Any Trump supporters want to explain how this is anything but corrupt ?
  14. Just gone back and watched the highlights, Jamie Smith was as 'not out' as Alex Carey. Snicko is fucking useless.
  15. A sad old git ?
  16. .......
  17. Any player mooted as a potential replacement could hardly be worse.
  18. "Trump Derangement Syndrome" - the befuddled mess happening between Donnie's ears.
  19. At least by bowling Australia out early this morning, England put themselves in an excellent position to take advantage of days 2 and 3, the 2 best days tor batting on this pitch.........
  20. They have now decided that the "first black woman in Britain" was in fact more likely to have been white. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce86jzgxxy4o
  21. They never do these days. It's as bad as appealing for catches they know they haven't taken, or the batsman hasn't touched. Not quite as much blatant cheating as Premier League footballers, but certainly the "spirit of the game" has been lost. Mind you, WG Grace used to stare down the umpires that gave him out until they changed their minds.

  23. Alex Carey has admitted that he hit the ball where Jamie Smith claimed a catch when Carey was on 76. Snicko detected no contact between bat and ball after England reviewed the on field Not Out decision, so Carey remained at the crease, and went on to score 30 more runs. The company running Snicko have admitted that the wrong stump microphone was analysed; they synchronised the bowler's end mic to the video replay, rather than the batsman's end mic. The DRS replay showed a clear spike, but before the ball got to Carey, so the third umpire ruled that there was "a clear gap" between bat and ball. According to Jonathan Agnew, he has been told by one of the match referees for the series that they are concerned about Snicko's reliability.
  24. Looks like the UK is rejoining the Erasmus scheme.
