Heard Joe Cole this morning saying he wants new club, not bothered about wages, wants to share his experience with youth, play some attractive football in his twilight years and play in his old position in the middle. What about a squad player for us? From his interview it sounds like he was literally asking Saints if he could join from the descriptions of the club he wanted to go to. IMO he could provide some experience and help even for just one season if we were to lose Morgan and Adam.

I met him a couple of weeks ago and had a brief chat with him about summer. Really nice bloke, but bit disappointing as a Saints fan as he said he will be listening to offers from other clubs in Summer. The overwhelming impression I got from him was that he's ready to move on and that not getting international tryout this season or last has bothered him a little. Of course that's not to say that other players staying or going may have an impact on his own decision. If they all stick he may not want to be the only one to turn his back. Easier to be one of many etc.
