  1. Lambert did a sort of fist clenched 'get in there' to Potch and they had a little man hug.
  2. Apologies if it's already been mentioned but I loved the moment between Lambert and Potch when he was subbed off. Great to see how much the win means to him
  3. This hasn't had anywhere near enough appreciation yet. Brilliant.
  4. Without a doubt, great year to be a Saints supporter
  5. With the exception of a tap in, I didn't see Lambert making any impact on the game whatsoever yesterday. Agree with J Rod possibly up front though. Just thought as he's been so effective playing out on the left recently, why change his position?
  6. With the same team as yesterday, I can see us coming away with no points. We really couldn't do any worse than a few players yesterday... With this in mind, I'd go for the below (assuming a few people will be fit): Cropper Clyne - Fonte - Lovren - Shaw Cork - Schneiderlin Lallana - Ramirez/Davis - J Rod Gallagher/Lee Rickie looked seriously off pace yesterday and is either in need of a rest or is carrying an injury. Pointless playing him when we have two other available fit strikers in Gallagher and Lee. If Fonte is still mysteriously out then bring in Yoshida. Hoovield and Fox shouldn't be anywhere near the team no matter how desperate we are.
  7. Get in! The fact that Fox and Hooiveld are the weak links is painfully obvious..
  8. Could Potch really go? I'd like to think that NC wouldn't let him and that we could match any wages he gets offered... But like it or not they are a much bigger club than us and would be a pretty attractive prospect to any manager.
  9. Sturridge is an awful player. He's got plenty of confidence and believes he's gifted, whereas in reality he had a few good games at the start of the season and has now reverted back to being a waste of space. Anyone else noticed how he throws a little paddy every time a ball isn't passed to him? Thought Gerrard, Lallana and Townsend had good games. Jagielka looked solid. Barkley was clueless and Wiltshire spent most of his time being chased down and falling flat on his face.
  10. I think it's pretty safe to assume that he thought he was simply doing a good thing and just wanted to donate some money. Yes he shouldn't have used Twitter and maybe just kept it private but he's just a kid at the end of the day. It really is concerning when people start handing out abuse to someone offering to donate to charity, no matter what method they are using. If you disagree with it then keep your mouth shut and retweet anyway to help someone less fortunate than you.
  11. Yup, I was with the naysayers about Pochettino. Also never thought Puncheon would ever wear a Saints shirt again.
  12. The reason he wrote off Liverpool would be roughly the same reason I'd write us off.
  13. ... Although a little reluctant to admit it live http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24893777
  14. What's not to like about playing for Saints at the moment? The deciding factor will be wages I suppose.
  15. He's stuck with the same group of players up until now. I'm very happy to be proven wrong with Jay, Adam and Ricky getting a call up Great news.
  16. What's pathetic about giving my opinion? I'd hardly call myself an England 'fan' and I certainly don't expect us to steamroller opponents. I simply think we could do better with a different selection of players.
  17. That's the main point though. We'll get beaten because the players they field are vastly better than ours because we have a manager who sticks with the same group of players who continue to fail on the big stage.
  18. I watched them both for one reason alone. We looked average against below average sides.
  19. Our opposition has been average at best so far... I agree that he has done exactly what has been required so far, but when we end up facing a team with real quality and get stuffed then we'll have to realise that he is just another poor fool appointed to manage our ailing national team. Any of the top European teams are going to completely dismantle us.
  20. I doubt it. Roy and his football put me to sleep. Safe reliable England celebrating a draw in Ukraine. Since when did that become a thing? We're meant to be the plucky underdogs with the whole country behind the team. The fact that Milner is anywhere near that team is seriously concerning. We've got some friendlies coming up. Pick some players with something to prove. Lallana, Ince, Redmond, Clyne. Instead we'll be treated to the likes of Young, Milner and Walker...
  21. That's exactly what my flat mate said. Talented by just isn't bothered. Banega would be a pretty exciting signing.
  22. Some pretty conflicting opinions on here tonight about the players and their performances... I honestly thought Lee looked like one of the better players on the pitch and was a little confused when he was subbed off. Reed looked out of his depth and seemed a second late with every decision he made. Chambers played well along with Yoshida. Would feel fairly comfortable if either of them started in a league game. Jos, Fox and K Davis were their usual selves. Cork looked half the player he was last season. Gaston f*****g Ramirez... Truly terrible. I've been on the fence about him for going on a year now but tonight has made my mind up. This generations Delgado.
  23. Fair enough! I'll learn some Gunners songs for the day and bite my tongue when Saints put them to the sword
  24. Whats the deal with sitting in the home end? Keep your head down and smile or is the Emirates a bit more away fan friendly?
  25. I'm suspecting a complete back 4 change with Fox, Yoshida, Jos and Chambers coming in. Not sure about the rest but I'd like to see Isgrove start. As mentioned previously on here, Poyet is likely to pursue his usual aggressive tactics and having any of last weekends starting 11 injured would be a blow.
