This is absolutely mental. My optimism for next season is now nearly non existent. If jrod and morgan go we'll be left with 4 of last year's starting 11. We're f****d.
-
Why are we dropping Artur? He kept us in several games and was absolutely immense for us last season (apart from the Arsenal game...).
-
Do we have any strong incoming rumors at all at the moment? The ITK chaps have said give it another week and things will be looking much brighter, but generally speaking we have always had a sniff of a signing and his identity at least a week before if not more in the past. Does not bode well really...

I seem to remember someone basically saying that he'd been played out of position on the wing as an inside forward with the argie. Perhaps if given a more central role he can start to live up to expectations?
-
Loosing Morgan would be a huge blow but not the end of the world. Didn't we start with Cork and Wanyama in a game or 2 last season? I seem to remember it working out ok. Plus, as adriansfc said above it would give JWP and Reed more opportunities, both of which have shown promise but could do with more game time (Reed especially).

Shame we've gone back to stripes, just doesn't look as smart. I'd agree with MLG as well about it looking better with white socks. Saying that though, it's infinitely better than last years kit and I must admit to being pleasently suprised
-
Sinclair comes across really well. Articulate and doesn't say 'you know' every other word. Has anyone ever seen him play?
-
Love the home kit. Haven't seen a design like that before (personally)? Away kit is fine.
-
Brilliant. I'd happily chip in a tenner.

I find it hard to believe that anyone thought this would be a good idea. What an utter utter tit. His reception at St Mary's next season is going to be amusing though...
-
Does anyone have a screenshot of a tweet he did a year or so back stating 'Can't wait to be a Saint for life'? Never fails to amuse me how quickly people change when money enters the picture... Such a shame that he appears to be a bit of a prat after all the great experiences with him at Saints.
-
Just seen it. Very smart indeed. Especially like the 'collar'.
-
Well said Theodore!

I simply cannot understand why Smalling is even over there.
-
After 2 seasons with him now I think it's fairly safe to say that he's absolutely f*****g mental. Don't ever change Artur.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say the last week and what is likely to come in the next few days has seriously soured my mood for the world cup. I was so excited to watch 3 Saints players in Brazil with the world knowing who they played for, but now? It's a serious possibility that we may actually not have ANY Saints players at the competition. Such a shame...
-
Absolutely spot on. I don't think you're moaning at all. Between Monk and yourself I think you've basically summed up how the majority of Saints supporters are feeling right now. Key. I may have been any easy mark due to our progress in the last 5 years but 5-6 months ago I really started to believe that as a club we could go on to do something special. It's such a shame to throw it all away when we were so close.
-
Agreed. The concerning part for me is that since KL took over, the board have been making noises about owing money and Cortese over spending. Nice cover stories when we end up reinvesting a token amount from player sales?
-
I think the bottom line is that the club is a business and she's business woman. The clubs stock is higher than ever and it's time to cash in and make a profit. It's only good business. I really don't want to believe that, but even if the above turns out to be untrue then Kruger and Reed are going to look like right plonkers if Lambert, Lallana and Shaw go. As a club we will appear very weak, a polar opposite to the Cortese years...
-
Never really warmed to him. I remain an Adkins man through and through He never really seemed overly connected to the club and I'll go ahead and echo others sentiments saying that we were nothing more than a stepping stone. I'm excited to see who we'll appoint! Terrified it'll be someone like Mackay or Lennon...
-
Of all the clubs in the world, Manchester United is the only one I have a genuine hatred for. It would be a huge shame for Luke to end up there. I work with a Man U supporter (born in and bred in Andover...) and his words today were as follows: "Now we've got our man (Van Gaal), I reckon 12mil for Luke Shaw and we'll throw a few **** players your way to save some cash for bigger names." The arrogance and self importance of the average Man U fan is astonishing. Seeing them loose is almost as enjoyable as watching Pompey getting stuffed 4-0 by Wimbledon.
-
My thoughts exactly. It would be a huge gamble going to Spurs. A sacking wouldn't look great no matter how well he did with us this season and lets be honest, if he isn't in a CL spot by December then they'll get rid. Alternatively, he stays with us for another year, we push on a get say a 6th place finish, and then who knows who could be after him for the 2015/2016 season.

Incredible. So pleased for all 3 of them and have never been more excited for a world cup -
Or with 2 minor changes? Having a pint with you must be a real treat
