how come every other club around us has managed to strengthen?
-
why does a purchase have to be a panic buy? Mane was a last ditch deadline day signing......panic buy? same for Toby. VvD came late in a summer window, another panic buy? I thought we had a leading team looking at countless players for every eventuality. We obviously knew Cedric and Gabby were off before xmas.......probably before that. how come every other side around us were able to strengthen, yet us doing it would have been some sort of panic.?

Looks like it's time for the "relegation price 2019" thread.

it will be between us and cardiff at the end of the season -
maybe open your ears/mind sadly, people like me have been right far more than wrong in recent years. yes, I was a weirdo for predicting 7 points, more like 3-5 (imagine if I suggested that on the 5 games thread)
-
there is a great example of over hyping a young player ^^^^ valery was far from excellent to be honest. none of our players were anything near excellent
-
by a country mile, worse than Mike Ashley. as said, look at the mountain of grief he (ashely) gets, yet people probably politely clap the directors box at SMS
-
yes, plenty tried saying we were/are deep in the shyt...got called skates, got infracted and dismissed... I was called a weirdo etc for predicting (now seemingly overly optimistic) 7 points from those 5 games.
-
we are 3rd from bottom. Bottom 3, relegation zone, this is after being in our best form for a couple of years, top 6 and all that
-
why are you using 2005 as an example. why not 2018?
-
they have not done anything illegal??
-
if it does, we will do well to not go down again I know people think they are amazing players, but a team mainly made up of Gunn, Valery, Stephens, Ramsay, Reed, Slattery, Sims, Gallagher, Obefemi, Barnes will get trounced in the championship
-
wont cost us much... apparently. https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?60689-Jan-19-Transfer-Window-Verdict

He may have offered better movement, he may have not fallen over when the ball played to his feet, he may he made better runs in the box on the odd chance we got wide and a ball came in. He may have been a better sub than Austin and hit that chance first time, like he did at Swansea
-
Why does this happen? It can’t be any good for them as it serves no purpose JwP has had it for years, had he been a foreign purchase, he would have been sent on loan to getafe or someone years ago. Couple of years ago, Stephens (on here) was rated better than Maguire by some and the rated him higher than one of the starting CBs for juventus. !!! Now we are seeing it with those in and around the first team. When in reality, they should be no where near the side in the state we are in. As CB Fry said in a post earlier, seems odd that many fans can get all excited and high-five each other because a young lad has been thrown into the side way too early and putting in bang average performances
-
But don’t you feel proud that these young lads are getting game time? I know I don’t
-
What if they were not rigid?
-
Where was the great man today?
-
Yep, agree
-
What makes it funnier, we have been tracking him for years. Peak black box
-
He (and Kat) appears to get a complete free pass at games Imagine if he was in charge at West Ham Mike Ashley is an Infinitely better owner and look at the grief he gets
-
I will be so proud of the team with around 8 academy starters COYRs
-
The new manager bounce is over. We are another Swansea... We are crap and cannot keep clean sheets to save our lives and now have Shane long leading the line
-
Ralph’s biggest failing was his preference for long over gabbiadini Mental
-
But he was deadwood Before you infract me again, that was what so many people said on here. According to the cheer leaders here, we are fine with the size of the squad and should be proud that slattery made his first start and Valery making the right hand side his own
