Haha, Lallana I meant. Too early when I wrote that.

Koeman has talked of 1-2 more but I expect he is playing it down given the number of players he has admitted to being interested in (Rojo, Gardos, Byram, a striker). If Ralph & Co are serious about improving the depth of our 'roster' then I reckon we'll need at least 4 more. Arguably, in terms of squad depth, we are still to replace Lovren, Lambert, Chambers, and Lovren, if you see Pelle and Tadic taking the squad places of Osvaldo and an injured J-Rod. Still a lot to be done then if they want to realise that aim. Hope we'll get at least another 2 in this week or it is going to be a frantic end to the window.

Morgan's head gone- Update: It has been re-attached

Jeremy Wilson is a Saints fan, Art, so doubtful that he is sh*te stirring. I thought it was quite a positive article in that Koeman is taking such a strong stance. Hopefully Morgan accepts the clubs position and we can move on. -
Brilliant.

Agree with this, thought he could have been a lot more tactful about it. Strange thing to say about Boruc's contract being up at the end of the season and him having a decision to make as well- really made it seem as if he isn't wanted.
-
Sounds like he is expecting to play against Liverpool, good lad! Think he will be a top signing for us.

I'll be on hand with translations. 3 1/2 years of living up here and just about decoded the local dialect, except for the woman that works on the till in Greggs who I still can't understand.
-
The twitter stuff is about the Legia/Celtic situation. However, his Instagram post this morning suggests he might be thinking about leaving if you are one for following the logic of his hash-tags. Never know with Boruc though, could well be taking the p1ss. Would be a real shame to see him leave. http://instagram.com/p/rjH8IdgHZg/?modal=true

Don't think it was ever formalised in the contract, but a couple of articles referred to Shaw's agent trying to get the clause inserted: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2466013/Southampton-flying-high-Premier-League-manager-Mauricio-Pochettino-chairman-Nicola-Cortese.html http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/nicola-corteses-southampton-departure-like-3028224#.U-iZZ2PEaSo

JWP is married?! -
Didn't you introduce Shaw into the debate and then ask questions about his release clause? Strange that the subject is now off-limits.
-
Why keep asking this? There is no proof absolutely anywhere that a release clause ever existed.

After top-scoring in his debut season for Saints, international recognition beckoned:
-
Related to Robbie Keane isn't he? Might have a goal in him and can't be worse than Mayuka. Jay Rod might sign that contract as well...

Indeed, and 'Reel around the Fountain' too - a personal favourite. Bootleg it is then. Case solved!

Shoplifters was Elvis and Louder than Bombs was Shelagh Delaney (who wrote 'A Taste of Honey' that Hand in Glove rips a lot of the lyrics from). Never seen the one above before, so guessing it might be part of some re-packaged anthology released in the States or something.

Good spot that, cheers. Can I ask, what Smiths single is that in your avatar? I do not recognise.

Drum roll... Jim White @JimWhite 31s Fraser Forster about to be announced as a Southampton player. Medical passed and he's agreed personal terms. #saintsfc

Agreed. Worryingly little speculation about strikers we are targeting though. Really can't see us signing Hernandez, and doesn't seem to be any movement with Ings.
-
Looks like a back-up should all else fail. And that is exactly how it should be.
-
Oh well, probably for the best. No point in having a player at the club that doesn't want to be here, as we should have learnt with Osvaldo. Let's get Florin over the line, and then look to bring in Virgil.

Spend, Lesley, Spend. Having left it to the last half hour of the transfer window, our hero, Lesley, faces a mad dash across Southampton as he tries to cobble enough players together to present to Ronald before said window slams shut. Will he beat the clock?
-
Cheers, expected as much.

Quite divergent views. Didn't get to watch the presser, so any body language experts in the house to confirm whether Ron was very positive or really ****ed off?
