If JV wants to go Spurs, let’s try to extract as much as we can I’d like to roll the dice and try to get someone else tbh.
-
2-0 fuck off
-
1-0 WHU ffs
-
KWP should score there too. We have started well but we just never bloody capitalise
-
WHU corner McCarthy not convincing there at all Salisu gets away
-
Minamino misses the 1 on 1 just wide!!! We know how this game will go... Dominate first half Lose 3-0 second half
-
3v2 Minamino shit touch to ruin the attack
-
First world problems but I’m having to watch this game on standard definition as its on Sky 1 and not a dedicated Sky Sports channel
-
1) Why hasn't Forster started? [I thought Ralph said the policy would be Forster 2 games, Macca 2 games - Macca had a howler and Fraser saved a pen last time out...] 2) Did Stephens deserve to be dropped? 3) I'd have liked Tella over Minamino personally 4) Good to see Romeu back on bench My observations - if we win then I take it all back 😁

I think for them to finish 8th, there needs to be a 8 goal swing for Everton to overtake them. Spurs play Leicester away, and Everton play City away. Unlikely they’ll both win and I think WHU will do the job against us anyway. They’ll want Europa League (6th place) over the Conference League (7th place), and for that they only need a point.

Yep agree with this - I remember against Man U last season at home, the number of people fawning over Rio Ferdinand who was in a box somewhere for BT Sport I think. We've moved into an era where many seem to go purely to post for social media
-
I don't think we will be on TV next season very much, and I think from next season the 3 broadcasters will be doing away with broadcasting every PL game. I can't remember if we were only on TV 9 times last season, it was less than the minimum 10 that every club gets paid extra for!
-
Sunderland officially staring at a 4th season in League 1 now. I think them and Portsmouth are building a healthy rivalry there 😁
-
How about the club just get padded seats all round for everyone (except away fans) as a goodwill gesture without putting the cost onto the fans? 😉 Or better still, we need to campaign with the other clubs to try and get safe standing back as I feel like that has gone quiet again recently due to Covid of course

A Spurs friend who claims to have insider knowledge says we have enquired for Harry Winks. That's all I have to say but I hope not - we need an actual enforcer type CDM in the mould of Romeu, or a Matic/Fellaini/Wanyama (someone who can break up play)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Delaney Someone has updated his wikipedia page... This would be a great signing in my opinion but won't believe it until he is holding that Hummel shirt!
-
The Liverpool forum tonight 🤣🤣🤣 Imagine being done with football for not buying a forward - big 6 fans do make me laugh
-
Yep WHU to win 2-0 or 3-0 is my prediction too. Antonio will most likely score A slightly crap way to end the season but there we are. However - on a different note - if by chance we do win next week that takes us to 46 points (same as Puel’s) and 1 more win than that season too. Slight food for thought that’s all

Yep 3 largely average keepers in truth. However, there are other more pressing areas that we need depth in so will have to stay put. Over a season amazing goalkeepers can win you many a points but I can't remember the last time our keeper had say man of the match for example. I like the look of Areola although I acknowledge there is always a danger of keepers at relegated clubs who are made to look better because of the number of shots they face. I think Martinez at Aston Villa is quality and they got a good purchase there. Therefore, conclusion is whilst we have 'em, we need to use two of them. Start Forster and bench McCarthy - see if we can get anything for Gunn. My final comment to make is whilst our transfer policy is to buy young so we can sell for a profit in the future, we really should shed that for CBs and GKs - I'm talking the likes of Krul are decent/experienced, or in terms of centrebacks Jonny Evans and Dawson at WHU have been tidy transfers.

Ings on the bench the big call then. Bednarek also on bench as well as Redmond.
-
Nothing against Leicester as I think we can definitely match them salary wise for Ings, but I guess it will come down to whether he thinks it'll be worth leaving for 1 Champions League campaign (or may well even be Europa!) Like, yes he'll be playing in a better team who have more ambitions, who most likely will be fighting within the top 8 for a European spot next season, but will they win a trophy again? Will the stars align again for Leicester? There are so many other factors of course - at Saints he is the main man, at Leicester will that definitely be the case? (he'd be competing with Vardy irregardless of his age, as well as Iheanacho) Or what about England- would a move to Leicester improve his chances of making the team more than if he were to stay at Saints? Then there is the non-tangible sentimental side - he is a Saints fan and he is largely very much appreciated by all of us and we've made him the focal point of our team. If it's just Leicester coming in for him, I think he will stay, I dunno why I just see it happening. Spurs despite one trophy in c. 30 years or whatever are a bigger pull and will possibly pay him more. City I don't think anyone would hold a grudge because he'd basically be guaranteed a trophy.
-
Will they do an end of season walk around the stadium for the final home game? I imagine 95% of the crowd will be applauding them on etc etc but for me this season has petered into a "what could have been". I mean I'm not angry/mad, but disappointed.
-
I think others we have forgotten in our favour is - Foden not getting a penalty in the away game at Man City - WBA scored a perfectly good goal against us at the Hawthorns too The Ing's goal against Wolves in the cup whilst in our favour - the correct decision was made nothing and it certainly wasnt as controversial/tight as some of the other calls? Also I can't remember if Villa away, we had a goal ruled out too? Also the Leeds game away, I still think we should have had that goal given at the end of the first half from our free kick - or it was very inept refereeing can't remember but still a big moment in the game. In that same game though Tella's penalty being chalked off was correct decision I think

None of us would have said that at the start of the season though
