Can anyone offer me a lift home from the Rovers match please?
Tony F replied to Tony F's topic in Saints Away Supporters
Thats very kind Dan. Am just off to London now. Will be in touch Thanks very much -
I will be travelling to the match by train (into Bristol Parkway) from London. Is anyone able and willing to drop me off on the Warminster bypass on their way down the A36 please? I only live a short walk from the roundabout where the A350 splits off from the A36, heading South towards Poole....so slow down just enough to let me out and you'll be on your way! Please PM me if you can and thanks.

Suggest you phone the Brizzel ticket office on Monday to ask them.....

Yup - agreed - at some stage in the next few months they'll fail the next liquidity test (obviously) and be dropped two divisions from the Prem instead of just one :-) And all their vaguely decent players scarper, of course.... And they have zero points after their first 10 games in League one.... Well, it was a great dream while it lasted

And can you (please) tell us how many times we have gone behind AWAY from home, then come back to win...? A few seasons ago I heard (or read) a stat that said it had been something like 5 seasons since Saints had won away, after going a goal behind. In other words, when the home team scored first - they inevitably rolled us over. That was the OLD Saints - that was.......

If you do decide to wake up early tomorrow morning you'll be 24 hours ahead of match schedule. Suggest you log on Weds morning your time m8! :-)

I'm afraid that you might need to seek counseling......... And also consider getting more stimulation in yr life :-)

I am unsure if Tim has decided he can afford to pay the air fare and come over......but if he does. I can't help thinking that it will be even more of a "bad day out" if the Winding Up Order scuppers the game....the ironyof it!

Thinking of points deductions.... what did Luton do to get -35 (is that right?) a couple of seasons ago? Was their "plight" better/worse/similar to Po#pey's?
-
I think your greater problem is how long you might have to wait in the queue Tuesday evening :-(

Check yr PM pse Ottery

Andy's has gone - Anyone else with a spare ticket?

Not strictly Saints news for January 2010 but it looks like James Beattie (remember him?) will be plying his trade at Upton Park from tomorrow. So maybe - just maybe - we'll see him back at St Mary's next season playing in claret and blue in the Championship...??

Although Ricky would obviously be a real loss I would be optimistic that Papa and Barnard would be able to continue leading our attack and they, with others like Adam, as well as Puncheon, would provide enough goalscoring threat to tide us over. This would not have been the case before Christmas. Papa was not ready (in my view) until recently for such a role and Barnard is a new arrival, of course. I think that the boss may well rest Ricky soon - maybe even as soon as Exeter. Probably keep him on the bench "just in case", but I think he is minded to make the bold move not to start him sometime soon, in preparation for inevitable fixture congestion later on.

He is more reliable than James - less excitable perhaps - more cultured than Wotton. His passing and positional sense are better than both

Pretty much agree with these ratings, based on both Tuesday's and today's match (despite the fact that, as a team, we were mostly poor today and pretty average on Tuesday). If we have a lack of creativity in midfield in Hammond's absence, I would be v interested to see Fonte given that role and Jaidi partner Seaborne in the middle of defence. Having said all that, I feel that Perry and Thomas (as well as Jaidi) can feel unfortunate as they were all "dropped" (or rested - depends on your point of view I suppose) after the Ipswich game - yet none had done anything wrong - in fact Thomes had gone and scored a pearler!!!

Will they stay in business long enough???...???

If Stern John features tmrw, what reaction he is likely to get?
Tony F replied to shurlock's topic in The Saints
Arizona, Your option 2 gets my vote (or something pretty similar). Honest......... not even trolling...... its what I think went on in his mind..... -
Charlie, you may be pi**ed off - we all are - but your reaction is completely indefensible.

BTW - none of the above is supposed to form my opinion - it is logical summery of "so whats" from the previous 83 posts. Just trying to help :-)
