Each place in the premier league is worth £2m and that's why we signed Caceres. We are paying him a reported 100k a week to sit on the bench while our defence lacks leadership and the two CBs lack ability. Complete waste of money Having loyalty to Stephens is admirable but it could be the difference in finishing 8th over 14th or £12m in merit money. + the EFL cup

Depends what your expectations and ambitions are I guess? Pamplemousse is one of those fans that's just pleased to be back in the top league, so keeping us up is "remarkable" Alot of posters like him on here and there's no problems with that. I personally choose to be more ambitious and demanding. I don't want SFC to make up the numbers. The league 1 drop and administration had an impact on some IMHO. Lowering ambitions and expectations protects them. No judgement from me..... We are all different

We've seen from the official published finances that we get nowhere near the reported totals. A "£40m" transfer seems to mean we get roughly 22-25m once agents, celtic etc take a cut.

Spot on. Just hasnt happened under Puel We've gone from an exciting team with identity over last 5-6 seasons to a bang average side relying hugely on 2-3 players to do it all. Puel was always a gamble and much like our summer recruitment has failed.

We are 19 points behind 6th (where we finished last season) We are just 7 points ahead of the bottom 3. Amazes me how many of our fans our content with us dropping so quickly. I could live with the drop off in league finish but the "football" Puel serves up is truely horrendous

From October to mid January Palace won just one game (in 16) that one win was against us (3-0) They've now found some form, so given football is so unpredictable I'll go for a 2-0 win for us. Redmond double.

He's not getting much game time. Puels rotation policy is hurting a few flair players. Tadic has been poor and Redmond doesn't score many or assist many. Boufal has played the equivalent of 9 matches for us, he's played the full 90 just twice! His total minutes is a 3rd of Redmonds this season. A number of players have struggled under Puel

Really poor 2nd half. AFCB battered us 2 wins in last 8 now. Just looked like 11 strangers today, no game plan, no passion, fight or ideas Positives: Jay was outstanding before being taken off and the pitch looked good (especially round the pen spot) What does Martín Cáceres have to do to get a game. Our defence all over the place today. No leadership back there at all.
