If we had kept Koeman then ibrahimovic would have been playing for us and we would have won easy.
-
He has as much chance of winning anything with WHU as he does us, so it's very much a sideways move. Would you take a sideways move for more money? I would
-
Les told a few porkies it seems. Only right and fair that Fonte would want to put forward his side of events. Always 3 sides to every story.

Assuming we win our game in hand will be just 8 points behind Everton with 11 games and 33 points to play for. Our last 11 last season we W7 D3 L1 = 24 points Everton last 11 was W2 D3 L6 = 9 points We have easier fixtures than Everton and a better squad. We also have a team that is fresh given all the early season rotation. Everton are knackered We will catch them AND we will laugh out loud at Koeman

Hope youre right mate. Sims omission has surprised me - burst onto the scenes vs Everton in November, signed a new contract and been given just 70 minutes across 6 games since.
-
Academy boys are now getting less n less playing time. Sims and Reed have vanished and McQueen hasnt started a league game since Everton away. Even Höjbjerg is now very limited and out of the squad fully at weekend. Perhaps Koeman was right about the quality?

The changes Puel has made to our style has definitely helped him. Watching his touches against Watford his first thought seemed to be get forward / attack. Where in previous games its been sideways and backwards. Playing again (regularly) in his actual position has helped too. The CF experiment didnt work
-
Some also said that Puels style of play was irrelevant and that if we were winning nobody would complain. "We would moan regardless if we lost" I think the EFL final DEFEAT showed that was total BS. Play attacking and attractive football "The Southampton way" and we are happy - win, lose or draw.
-
We won their last season. We can do it again
-
I personally dont think its a critism of Puel to say he's changed things - the opposite in fact. His way (the diamond) didnt work in the EPL and some questioned if he knew any other way. He does and he's changed things. Performances have improved and players seem happier... Its win/win. Playing Redmond on the left (not CF, new Henry blabla) also shows that Puel isnt as stubborn as some say and he has also ditched the rotation policy - perhaps he just now knows his best 11? reduced fixtures? bit of both perhaps? Either way the hows and whys are irrelevant. He needed to change things and he has... Kudos to him and long may the improved attacking football continue and we start looking upwards not down. Im still convinced we can catch Everton, we have easier fixtures than them and only 11 points behind (WITH a game in hand) COYR

But he has changed things! Possibly because he now has the right players to play this style, but he has changed things. He changed the formation and approach for Leicester and Liverpool end of January and we won 3-0 and 1-0 Was annoying when he chucked out the poor side in the FA cup (lost) and then seemed to revert to the old unsuccessful style n formation against Swansea (lost) and WHU (lost) Seems to bounce around a bit, but surely now he will stick with a settled team and formation?

3 goals and 1 assist in the last 20 odd games? Agreed get him in - Kane out!!!
-
I think he has put egg on a few faces for sure. When will people learn on here.... Trick is to have no opinion and simply sit on fences at all times. You can then point and laugh at people either way. Question is has his wife made any BFFs yet?
-
We have been a bit rotten against the top 6 in the league this season (0 wins) Due a win and Spurs can have off days
-
Brilliant news. Youre ITK right?
-
Losing VVD has helped us strangely. Its forced Puel to be more attacking. We always had the personal for attacking and playing for 1-0 even with VVD was always a mistake. Just hope he doesn't revert straight back to dullness once VVD is fit. Think hed have a player revolt again if he did? Lets look upwards not down now. COYS

Boom! Nice win Tried to keep updated but dodgy phone reception. Takes us upto 10th? Everton just 11/12 points ahead now? Can we catch them?
-
We have the 7th best squad in the EPL just now However we will likely now finish 10/11th, behind Everton, WBA and WHU, possibly Stoke too 4th or 5th in "our league". Roll on next season, this one is over.
-
From Dibden Purlieu - few on here probably know him?
-
Puel will have them fired up for this one. Late charge fir top 8 We will win this easy
-
I’m genuinely confused what Puels football style is? If you credit him for the handful of "beautiful" games you also need to blame him for the dozen + horrendous games this season. He doesn’t seem to have a style like Mopo and Klopp do. Even Mark Hughes and Pulis although unattractive they have a style of play - ours seems to be all over the place. Hence 4 defeats in our last 5 games (conceding 13 goals in process)

There is a hierarchy in football and if Real Madrid or Barcelona want a player they will typically get them. In the EPL we are level 3 just now and can lose players to Level 1 sides (Man United, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal borderline) What we want to avoid is losing players to Level 2 sides (Liverpool, Spurs, Everton borderline) Spurs (level 2) have players Man United (level 1) will want for example - how do Spurs stop players just insisting on joining United? They dont pay the 200-300k wages that level 1's do and can. We must also stop selling to teams on our level (WHU) OR better still stop selling to EPL clubs all together. If a player is determined to leave - Go, but find a club in Italy, Spain or Germany that will pay the asking price. We are too soft, the equivalent or a Sports Direct EVERYTHING must go sale. Reed and Kruger have lost all trust for me. They simply dont back there words with actions.

Show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser!!
-
- team hurting - fans great - learning - no fear - commericial activity blabla - dont use owners money - summer will be quiet - exciting football - next level? Continue to develop youth - synergies - manager needs time - VVD: keep group together, VVD committed for longterm - Wilson: People wil come and go, ross is committed. Media talk, no talks with rangers All felt a bit same old same old
