I have never asked nor really expect Kat to put in her own money, she inherited the club and has no passion for us, I understand that. However as a fan what I do expect and want is for the club to make available £10-20m each year for player transfers - NOT from Kats pocket and NOT from selling our players first but from the £150-200 million we receive each year (Tv money, gate recipients, commercial income etc) I have ALSO acknowledged (many times) that every so often we will also have a player that will need to leave - players chased by the football elite (Barcelona, Real, Chelsea, Man U/C) and if we absolutely have to sell then let's take the money (all of it, not 50%) received and add it to the £10-20m that was already available and reinvest in top players What I object to is net transfer PROFIT of £20-40m this summer and £30-50m in 2014. These recent release claues had me thinking perhaps we are not receiving as much as the club wants us to think? Mane was sold for circa £35 million (apparently) but redmond cost £10m. We as fans have no clue where the other £25 million has gone. Luke Shaw "£35m" and Betrand was £10m another £25m thats therefore just vanished Pelle £12m his replacement (Austin) £4m another £8m vanished There are tons of these ”reported fees" Morgan £24m Clasie £6m = £18m gone? Lallana £26m Tadic £12m = £14m gone Lovren £22m VVD £12m = £10m gone Chambers 18m Clyne 12m / Cedric £4m = £26m gone Where has all this money gone? Player release clauses would kinda explain the ease at which players leave this club and the reletive low end fees we receive on occasions? Easier to pretend it doesnt happen though hey Im sure you have a few copies of players contracts to prove it doesnt happen
