No chance he will go to Everton - players absolutely hated working with him remember
-
Thanks Les - please remember He has a new 6 year contract We don't need more money (surely) The trophy cabinet you purchased 3 years ago is still empty We are allowed to say no when an offer is made He has no release clause He is our best player

Everton 2-1 now They've been excellent tonight, played some really nice and attacking football.... ahh the memories

I very rarely reply to any of ALWAYS posts
-
We get these threads every 4-6 months but when pressed name names or more importantly provide examples people can't and won't do it Being a slightly 'glass half empty' type like Alpine or Batman doesn't make them a "Troll" just as much as 'glass half full' types like ALWAYS and MLG If we all agreed on everything this place would be very dull - oddly a few seem to want that
-
Don't think many would argue with that mate Top half + trophy and I'd personally be delighted.
-
I do get annoyed by the trolls on here, but this is a football forum = Public medium or place used for debates in which anyone can participate. Personally wish the mods would enforce the rules around insults and reduce those posters that don't post about football at all (just post about other posters) but I guess that's the way this (and most forums) operate? If I just want Saints news I'll use - https://southamptonfc.com

So he doesn't have a £25m release clause? Phew!!! It's £26m then? £30m? Regardless of how much his release clause is we know Les "Del Boy" Reed will sell as soon as a £30m+ offer comes in. The club will tell us it's a "record fee" and we will all speculate but ultimately hang on to the word of the journalist that speculates the highest fee (It was £32m no it was £52m, no definitely £41m) The transfer fee recieved will ultimately just vanish to "pay debts" or "you don't understand FFP" we will say "we improve every year but you know 2016/17 doesn't count as this was a transition year and nobody expected us to improve" We will continue to love Les Reed unconditionally - all VVDs flaws will be raised and "VVD was blocking Jack Stephens progress anyway" posts will flow like Baileys at Christmas We breed success not buy it!! FFS BUY . SELL . REPEAT
-
He won't go in January - even we are not that greedy Summer is where it's at - when the fans are occupied by the exciting new kit release
-
ALWAYS would be there....the irritating brother (aged 14) that still thinks Santa is real and interpts the adult conversation as he wants to play connect 4
-
Use past failures to forge future success - don't hand pick a few games where we have been poor in the past to justify Puels inabilities now We could all hand pick a few games where ALL managers at ALL clubs have been poor, problem is you can offset them with many great games and performances. Puel has managed us for 30 games - how many truely great performances?
-
Ha sounds about right
-
There wasn't much expectation or demand league wise from anyone really? Think the general consensus and request on here was for entertaining football and a decent go at Europa? Puel failed miserably with Europa and isn't delivering football of any reasonable recognition either Only thing we have left is league cup now IMHO - hope he doesn't **** that up
-
We started last season slow and poorly so shouldn't use that as a benchmark We vastly improved and had 40 points from 26 games last season Doubt Puel will match last seasons points total and would happily bet that he won't better it + he's definitely not offering entertaining football as compensation
-
Since you ask mate - yes still pee'd off about Thursdays shît show (will be for a while I expect) Nice win yesterday but scrappy and we are still not clicking or playing entertaining football But if you're happy that's good, guess we are all different mate
-
You know times are hard when the argument is "Leicester are crap this season" and "we could be Pompey"
-
40 points after 26 games - same as last season maybe? Our next 11 games include Burnley, WHU, Sunderland, Stoke, AFCB, Swansea and Leicester so definitely doable Especially now we don't have a Europa cup to worry about
-
Windmill Arm 2 - back from the dead TBH I thought you were another Dibden Purlieu Saint account
-
Ok mate Are you ALWAYS (_SFC) this odd?
-
TBF if he'd shown a 10th of that passion for Prague (away) or HBS (Thursday) we'd probably still be in the Europa cup.... Puels passions and priorities are not in sync with (most) Saints fans this season
-
First time in a long time that we are closer to top 5 (7 points) than bottom 3 (8 points) Also 4th now in "our" league which is our highest for a while. Really exciting times
