  1. Some top players no doubt... But we typically buy players for 10-15m tops Ferreira-Carrasco was £20m Kondogbia was £30m Imbula £18.5m Kurzawa £23m Umtiti £25m Batshuayi £34m Martial £45m
  2. The parallels with Newcastle are worrying me Newcastle had a few semi decent seasons (finished 5th in 2012) before developing a mild obsession with the French league.... Fast forward a couple years and Newcastle are relegated! If we were looking to follow a cost effective model id encourage Reed to look at Spurs not Newcastle and would suggest removing the 'France only' filters from the black box Other parallels with Newcastle are the EVERYTHING MUST GO signs splashed all over our the place. Lets leave the Sports direct approach to Fat Ashley and lets hold on to our last few top players this Jan and summer please
  3. You get what you pay for sadly and Puel was a cheap appointment We received a reported £6m compensation for Puel and had sold Wanyama, Mane and Pelle for a combined £60m There was no reason or excuse to go cheap Puel has won nothing as a manager in the last 16 years and in the time he has managed some of the bigger French clubs.... What was it Reed was so impressed with?

  5. The "football" under Puel is horrendous Koeman was almost sacked for his poor start last season - yet Puel matching his poor start is seen as a success!? We have fallen a long way behind the top 6 this season 3 home games against Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs and we managed just 1 shot on target for all 3 games combined We can fight to be best of the rest but really hiw much fun is that? Season hinges on the league cup now
  6. Spurs added Decent for 15, awful for 75
  7. 1-4 Add this to the shït performance pile
  8. 1 shot on target ALL game We may aswell go for it now.... Ffs 1-3
  9. Come on saints lets nick a goal
  10. I cant comment on the game now? I thought you were encouraging posters to draw a line? Let bygones be bygones, respond to the post not the poster?
  11. Spurs are showboating - its embarrassing What was our game plan today? 10 days to prepare.....
  12. Redmond suspended now? 3 games? Assuming no appeal Awful game again today
  13. Penalty spurs 1-3 no doubt
  14. Weve had 10 days to prepare for this game - yet its unclear what our plan was today and we seem to have no awareness of the way Spurs play and strengths Did everyone just get 10 days off?
  15. Yep thats been coming
  16. All Spurs last 30. Possession now 30/70 in Spurs favour Get in at half time and let Puel work his magic - send these lads back out pumped up a little perhaps?
  17. We do look heavy footed almost tired? but weve just had 10 days off? Still an open game but another spurs goal would kill us
  18. Yep there it is
  19. Great start from the lads Insurance bet placed just in case (£40 returns just over 200) COYR
  20. Be great to go back to top of "our" league
  21. Puel vs Pochettino
  22. Everton are similar size to us financially so will be interesting to watch them over the next 4-5 years Will they be the new Pompey or will fortune favour the brave? My money is on the latter
  23. As great as Sigurðsson is hes 27 now and would cost us £14-20m I'd expect (todays rates) Ask yourself what hed be worth in 2 years and you can then instantly rule him out as a saints signing Im greateful for our policies as wasting money on proven premier league quality and proven goal scorers with no resale value is a complete waste of time imho Id defo prefer to gamble on unknowns and hope for the best
  24. Would ve sensible to spend the money we will receive for VVD as prices will go up once we accept £40m from Man C
  25. I would absolutely love Morgan back here but his wages (reported 90k pw) is outrageous and i would defo prefer to have money in the bank than top players on the pitch
