Puel is simply the front man for Reeds "showcase" club and is playing out Reeds system and style AND Reeds rotation policy He can't critise Puel for ANYTHING as its ALL Reeds idea. Puel was essentially hired as he was the most submissive candidate - Reed is calling all the shots he says that himself..... " I’m basically responsible for everything to do with football at the club from the top to the bottom." Thats why he always plays down the "manager" talk. They are just coaches.... Just here to coach Puel is just the puppet and is simply here to coach players - the style, the rotation policies, the transfers, the "vision", thats all Reed.

Once bitten twice shy...... Reed/Southampton has dated the babes (Mopo/Koeman) and has been badly hurt when they left us/him, now Reed is being cautious - want an easy life, get an ugly wife!! Stick with Puel as he is the equivalent of the chick nobody wants, but you try and convince all your mates that she’s got a great personality and that’s all that counts.

I expect that to be the way he goes TBH. Sacking him is an acknowledgement from Reed that he made a mistake "Resigning" with a nice BIG payoff means less egg on Reeds face.

Which was probably his biggest asset. People that have been in the game for years think they know it all and will follow the same tired and predictable paths. Nic was unconventional in his approach, didn't respect the football hierarchy like Les does and was a determined winner and wanted the same for us. He wasnt satisfied with making up the numbers and this eventually cost him his job. Like iy or not Cortese has been the biggest influence on our success last 7 years and his vision and culture is still playing out (black box, academy)

Tbf id complain too, club went backwards this summer and Fonte spent the summer with winners.... Saints are here just now to make up the numbers and make Les and Kat rich it seems
