How can he "sum up" something which hasn't happened yet? You can't decry a strategy which has worked up until this moment, because you believe it will fail. Well, you can, you can do whatever you want, but you've got no basis for your argument.

He really isn't. He's a good player., but he's far too inconsistent to be "very good". He had a peak season during 14/15, at which point Pardew started spouting he was worth £25m and so on...presumably never expecting to get that, merely trying to put clubs off. He certainly didn't have a season last year which would justify an increase in value. Everton have just publicly talked themselves into overspending - which is going to be interesting given their 'ITK' anticipates 7 new arrivals (inc. Bolasie). Not that he won't improve their squad, because he will.

How can you possibly be wrong when you categorically stated a week ago that Fonte had already signed a 3 year deal? That is to say, there was no indecision in what you said.

Given that he must know that such comments don't endear you to fans, particularly when you're a captain, I'm inclined to think that he's of the opinion that he can/will get a move.

No one's advocating that, obviously. See Whelk's post above though, you're developing a reputation In all seriousness though, I think you're going to have to come round to the idea that the club see Rodriguez as a striking option, and then base your expectations with that in mind.

Perhaps they think Pied/McQueen can do it. (Not that I necessarily agree with Targett going out on loan, since he would/could get game time here - although, with that being said, it's difficult to argue that a loan wouldn't be beneficial for him).

By your own admission, you're impatient, so why not take that into account when posting?

What I find intriguing is that certain posters seem to be of the opinion that all outgoing players should've already been replaced, I.e. that replacements should be signed before or soon after departures, and then fail to acknowledge when the club has done this (signed in advance), I.e. Austin, or when the club has replaced with a different kind of player (I.e. Hojbjerg).
