Interesting....I'll have to investigate. Thanks by the way.

Is anyone having trouble accessing Flawless on Kodi? All I'm getting is 'Flawless TV error...check the log for information' :S

I found this graphic from a certain tv show (broadcast on 22nd Jan) interesting with regard to managerial changes this year. I have no idea how to enlarge it, so if someone knows how, perhaps you could kindly tell me and I'll edit it appropriately. Obviously it goes without saying that the data is now 'old', but it most likely proves a general point, i.e. 'new manager bounce'.

World's luckiest manager?

It was always unlikely that we would sign 3+ players (i.e. GK, CB, WINGER/AM, FWD) in January, and personally, I never expected that, but we should've at least been able to sign 2 in the context of the VVD deal. We got 1, and admittedly, one of the more important ones given that Austin is out and the added variety (target man) that it will it bring. Ordinarily I might give us a 5/10, but in the context of the league, it has to be a 2/10. Abysmal. The worst window for a looooong time.

Loaning out Sims at this stage would be *mental*. Hesketh, not so much, although I would prefer to see him near the first team (bench) on occasion.

That's a decent summary

Of course Spartak are calling the shots, that's a given. The club's (i.e. Les) ability to recognise when a transfer is possible is ripe for scrutiny. As soon as Spartak even mentioned wanting 35m in one lump (which Blackmore's tweet would suggest we knew a "while ago") we should've been looking elsewhere. We should've been able to ascertain whether this would cross the line at least a few days ago, given that we've known a) what we need, and b) how much we have to play with, for a month now. Most clubs in our mini-relegation league have to haggle costs as much as possible due to tight budgets, we had the luxury of the VVD sale, and even with that advantage, we've fluffed up.

On the assumption that we don't sign Promes (or a player of ilk) then I'll regard this window as complete dogsh*t and a big F for Leslie.... particularly in the context of the Telegraph articles.

Would be interesting to know the answer for definite. MLG would probably know

Does a release clause have to be met in full with the initial payment then? Or can it met/satisfied with a guaranteed fee? My understanding is that it is the latter (and I may be wrong), in which case it shouldn't be a problem. P.S It's 35m euros
-
That's what I'll take away from this. Although it's not so much a case of a fee Spartak want, but a fee they cannot refuse (i.e. release clause). And granted you shouldn't just go out and meet release clauses willy nilly, but this feels like one of the situations where we absolutely should.
-
So, to clarify, we haven't met the release clause...? We agreed a fee which was conditional on Spartak finding a replacement, and they haven't, so the deal is off. Which begs the question, why not just meet the release clause now?
-
As far as I'm concerned the club should just be paying the extra €5m if necessary. They put themselves in this position by not arranging deals of their own before selling VVD....you can't have your cake and eat it (under those circumstances).

He had a period like this a few years back, but I can't remember what it was over. Hey, at least he's/she's consistent
-
Where's that from? : thumbup:

Interesting, and just confirms the detestable attitude he has on the pitch.

Complaining about a single sub doesn't make for a negative post about our general play. P.S I went, so that's 7 positive reports

Most have so far, to be fair. Mainly average to goods, with a few poors chucked in...assuming that most people who post immediately after full-time aren't usually at the same.
-
That would appear to be the case (....although I'm obviously making an assumption about Merrington there, but I know what he's like).
-
Don't you live abroad? Pretty strong words considering you didn't see anything. If you were at the game, then fair enough. That isn't to say you/anyone can't have an opinion unless witnessing the event, but again, i find it difficult to process how someone can have such a strong negative/perception of something they didn't see.

Kieran Trippier at Burnley being another excellent example of this/how effective it can be (if I recall correctly....which I probably don't)
