Now you are talking, I had an MR2 about 10 years ago which was the T bar version. Had massive fun with it but I did my back in and could not get into it for 4 months. These are going fairly cheap now. Btw, definately rear wheel drive, great fun but not too good in the winter. Thank you guys about the advise on the MG TF, I think I'll leave well alone.

I haven't noticed them to be fair and imo thats how it should be.

Following on from my car auction thread, one of these came up for bid and I was seriously tempted, it was a 98 and went for £850 but got my wife a cheaper escort instead. Looked in really good condition but I do not know anything about these. My Mrs fell in love with it and keeps pestering me about getting one, so I would be interested to know about the good and bads if anyone had got any knowledge.

Weak guest list this year though. Can only see either Nigel Havers or Linford winning it. Dont you think that all these favourite progs ie, Xfector, Strictly, I'm a fading celeb are all starting to become a bit tedious?

I realise its a bit of a gamble but economics at the moment dictate, but yes, I think perhaps getting to the £1000 mark buys you a much better car. You can get a newish petrol thirsty car really cheap but then there is the running costs. Anyone else bought a car at an auction?

I just took a punt at a car auction and got my mrs a cheap runaround for next to nothing, to be exact £225 for an escort R reg with 5 months MOT. It seems to be running ok with no problems so far. My theory is run it into the ground and hopefully it will last 6 months or more and then do the same when that one expires. Prudent or foolish?

Not if they are resting on the scales I wont. Now, if she is managing to operate the till with them then I might be interested, but if they are resting on the scales that tells me that gravity has got the better of them.
