I think he was in the middle of an extremely tricky situation and had to some how keep both parties happy hence the repetition without saying too much. I thought he handled himself ok in view of the circumstances. I'm not too keen on the 3rd person statements and hope that goes from his interviews as people will latch onto that and use it as a stick to beat him, but I think nerves and the awkward situation contributed to that.

Had a feeling we might shoot ourselves in the foot again, we have a habit of doing this. The pre season and lack of activity in the transfer market was a good indicator for me that things were not as I hoped. Without knowing all the facts I am hoping that NC has got it right and has acted quickly enough to salvage this season, but whoever is the manager/coach is has got a big job to do now and will not really have much settling in time. For this reason I am out....................on guessing how the rest of this season is going to go.

Totally agree with that. There is no comparison between the Dell and St Marys for atmosphere, I do really miss the old place. I have been at St Marys sat in my seat and not even realised that the players are already out on the pitch. But its the same with a lot of things now, I find everything so plastic and soulless, either its just plain ole getting old, or that is the way of things now. Perhaps when our kids are our age they will be saying the same about St Mary's.

Is it possible that because Saints asked and were granted permision to talk to Adkins, he and Scunny have assumed that the job is his when in truth nothing has been decided yet. Just a thought.
