Perhaps if NC connected with the fanbase a little better there would be no need for rumour or speculation. We have to judge him on what he does rather than what he says atm until he decides or not to communicate a little better. As far as the sacking of Pardew is concerned, he could clear this up in one sentence if he so wished as I am sure he is clever enough to do it without causing too much fallout. If he did this then at least he would gain more respect from some of us.

Absolutely! What also concerns me is that the person who gets the job might not possibly be the best candidate, but maybe the only candidate willing to do it NC's way.

Well its a no brainer then, NC will not appoint MoN because he will not allow him control of transfers whereas the likes of Adkins will not kick up much of a fuss.

This is so opposite to what I thought NC would do as far as a manager is concerned. Adkins has done well with scunny but he also got them relegated before getting them back to the ccc, he has never managed in the premiership so I still see this as a massive gamble. One thing is for sure, the bums on seats will suffer for a while. If he gets the job I'll support him 100%, buy I cannot get overley enthused by his appointment.

I just cannot believe that NC would choose bungle, sorry Dowie, to take us back into the prem, surely NC is not that stupid. Did'nt Les Reed replace Dowie when he was sacked from Charlton, and then he was subsequently sacked?
