Yet again, this club seems to be self imploding!

"Unfounded" speculation and rumour in the Echo.....

I understand the plop plops bit! -
Why since Jan? whats the figure for the whole of last season, I make it 1.8 Anyway, we could debate this on and on. You obviously were confident that AP could do it, I was not, we beg to differ. In any case NC has made up his mind.
-
An honest question. Will a brit manager want to work under NC and his hands on approach?
-
Plymouth, Orient! We had similar results last season. Lets be honest here, to win automatic promotion there is not that much margin for error. Were you confident that AP's side was capable of putting consistent good runs together? Btw, does your 2.1 points per game since Jan include cup games? as we are talking about league form here and getting automatic promotion.
-
If the new man can get the side to be a bit more consistent then I feel we have an even better chance of automatic promotion. AP's side had too many bad results against the poorer sides.

Typical Meridian, anything to throw a spanner in the works. Script probably written by Fred Sewage.

Dog......sh*te!

I just dont think a british guy will take this job on if he does not have full control over tranfers etc. If it is going to be based on a continental style of management where a coach will be installed rather than a manager, it is more likely that a continental coach will be appointed, so my money is on Zola.
-
I'm hoping that they have already got someone and that someone is advising NC who to buy before the transfer window shuts.
-
Strange that although the entire coaching staff have been sacked alongside AP, Dean Wilkins is caretaker manager! I know that there has to be someone at the helm whilst a new manager is looked for, but if there was any sort of comradery between AP and Wilkins, Wilkins would have left as well.
-
Got to agree with this!
-
Jeese, dalek is going to be suicidal this time when Glen Hoddle is not appointed yet again.
-
Oh ok, cheers for that, surely though you don't just take the word of an agent that the player they represent is any good?
-
I wonder if the next manager had anything to do with the Gully signing? There must have been some Italian inside knowledge on Gully? which gives the Italian connection more legs.
-
Here here!

Did Zola and Wise play together at Chelski?
-
Pure speculation, but just maybe, the new manager may have already been chosen and asked who he would like to target as new signings before the window closes.
-
With Trousers on this, sort of excited who the new man will be. The timing of AP sacking is questionable but, it was on the cards and has been for a while. I was not convinced that this side would get promoted as AP how somehow got a side together that is too inconsistent proven by some very up and down results last year. I like AP but lets move on, this is football, these things happen. perhaps hold off NC before all the facts are there.

Has anyone who was there got any info about Gully, did he look good in the short spell he was on? -

I suspect the Lallana injury basically guarantees another signing before windows end. -

Amazing how Blackpool are signing up all the potential CCC and L1 purchases. Either Hollaway has a good eye or he is taking an almighty risk hoping that CCC and L1 players will keep Blackpool alive in the prem.
