When you have supposedly the best team in L1, the most expensive team in L1, you have last years top marksman and player of the season in L1, owned by a wealthy owner with no debt, managed by an ex premiership manager, and no -10 to blame or hinder, isn't it natural to expect this team to set off like a f*cking steam train? I dont care if teams are gonna come down here and plug the defence, I don't care if we always start slow, I don't care if AP and NC are waiting to the last minute to make purchases and don't want sellers taking the p*ss because we are wealthy. I don't want to hear any more excuses, we have had f*cking years of hearing excuses. I just want this team to live up to its potential for once and to start as it means to go on and give us a team to be proud of. Not much to ask is it!

Watched Fulham V Man U today, it was like watching saints of old at the Dell. Same sort of passion, same small ground, ageing but full of atmosphere, same type of spirit where no team took getting a result for granted. It may be the wee libation talking but I miss those days. Yes I know even then it was not a bed of roses, we had our down times ie Branfoot etc, and some miserable players ie Speedy etc, but we also had some stars play for us. Which brings me to Delldays post, had we managed to survive in the prem we could have held onto some of the players mentioned possibly and turning out displays like that of Fulham today. Anyway, one midfield maestro and a winger AP, spend ya money son, and perhaps we can get those days back again.

If we are serious about promotion then we should not be playing cat and mouse with timings of transfers etc. This should have been more or less sorted long before now so we had the best possible start. As it is, we have already dropped points and if one of the top sides has a blinding half a dozen games we are already playing catchup. If this season is a failure then the plans of our buyers is already destroyed, where does that leave us?

Wish I knew, but it never seems to change. Perhaps if we took pre season a bit more seriously we might be better prepared, and maybe get the signings in before season start.

An absolute must!! If we don't with this side we could wollow in this damn league for years.

I thought that this forums predecessor was alot worse than this one, and yes it was personal, ask Keith. For me forums in general all have the same problems, its the nature of the beast. Sad I know, but I joined a Volvo forum in an attempt to find out about a problem I was having with my car, I happened to post a question about the fault and shortly after World War 3 broke out with posters having differing views as to what the problem was, it all got nasty and abusive and was not moderated at all, funny though!

Just got back from a trip, although I sadly heard the news whilst away I have not been able to send my condolences till now. R.I.P Markus who has only been with us for a short time but will stay forever in our memories. We owe you a great debt of gratitude and hopefully we can repay your kindness by supporting your saints back to the premiership. Your smile will be missed!

Blimey, I am starting to worry about NC. All this bad publicity smacks of old Rupert but it is all happening at a greater pace. I have defended NC up and till a little while ago but it seems like once again we are starting to appear in the media for all the wrong reasons. Makes you wonder if these chairman/Ceo's/whatever's with no footballing background what so ever are a good idea. They seem to forget that football is an entertainment industry as well as a business, where you have to consider all angles when making a decision including the paying public and the media.

Sky news has now had a laugh about the cartoons about an hour ago.

Basically because we could'nt convert first half dominance into a victory. God knows what happened at half time but apart from a small spell when Lallana came on we were clueless in the second half. I have seen this so many times with us now, brilliant one half, crud the other.
