The great comeback of 2010 is underway!

Do you actually sit there checking out every posters profile before you decide who to lay into? If you are that intent on trying to make me look like a liar or a story teller on here, I will let you know the result of my visit to the magistrates court later this month as I intend to dispute the claim.

Personally, I am not suggesting rioting, protests yes, but not rioting. My point is though that I am surprised that there is not rioting!

Hypo, I understand cutbacks to a certain extent, by why are you and I being penalised for councils wrongly investing their funds, or for bankers paying out vast amounts of bonuses to their directors etc. I lost my job recently because the bank decided it was too risky to continue offering facilities to the company I worked for, the company was operating within the limits imposed by the bank but the bank became twitchy because the turnover was down due to the economic situation, the bank being RBS of all people.

Having just had a County Court summons because my Council Tax payment is a few days late, and then having to deal with jobs worths reading from scripts and then informing me that I have had a £60 fine imposed because of late payment and to add insult to injury, I still have to go to court even though I am up to date with my payments, it has made me realise what a bloody mess this country is in. My particular council based in Kent is one that lost money in the Icelandic bank crisis, and now they are using heavy handed tactics to try and recoup their losses from the likes of you and I. How the Council can justify £1400 per year in my area is beyond belief. Add to the fact that the recession was largely down to large banking establishments and their banking practices and yet it is now the banks that are calling in debts and forcing many businesses and individuals into bankruptcy. Fuel costs, food, unemployment figures going up, job losses, I could go on, but the everyday person is the one having to brunt the costs of these so called establishments mistakes. What with the present government saying the next 10 years are going to hurt it begs the question, where is this going to end? I am not saying that the state of our country is the main reason, but why are we starting to see individuals loosing it such as the Cumbrian killings and this Raoul Moat at present, is there a link? My main reason for bringing up this topic is, why does it seem that the people of this country have lost their fight. Remember the Poll Tax riots, the fuel protests, the miners, the printers etc etc, it seems that it is only the BA cabin crew that have any get up and go in them. The everyday person is being royally rogered but has no desire to bite back which I find amazing considering the past.

I wonder what NC thinks of guys hanging around the ground taking pictures of boxes

This is surely a sign, the box is levitating!!

I would pretty much go for all the German side to be fair, as a unit so far they have been untouchable.

Easier to tempt players to the Premier than it is to League 1.

I remember the first 10 games not being that brilliant.

I am not having a love in with Alpine but mock his opinions at your peril. This is a genuine concern, other clubs in L1 have been rebuilding for a while. We have started the last few seasons (since loosing premiership status) half cooked at the start of every season for one reason or another, and left us us playing catchup on a regular basis. Although we can put a squad together be it lacking in a couple of area's, after letting 13 players go, we are weak on cover. We were lucky with Lambert last season as far as injuries are concerned, but surely it is asking too much for Lambert to go another season without a dodgy injury. With both wing players gone we are short there too. I am hoping that the reason we have not heard much is because our new owners and management are keeping a lid on everything, but underneath it all it would make me feel damn happier if I knew for sure that a team good enough to get us out of this league is pretty much in place and ready to get us off to a flying start.
-
Mind you, we could also loose a couple of good players as well. I should imagine some of the better players in our squad may be targets for other teams in ccc. Who knows!

England starting XI for Euro 2012 qualifiers

Why is everyone overlooking Zamora? -
Good Post! I feel a good start would be to restrict the amount of foreign players to say four per club or even less. Wage cap. English or British manager. Reduce the amount of games. A more concerted effort put into finding and training raw talent with the emphasis put on skill rather than brawn. Why is team selection resticted to players from the premiership? Restrict the amount of subs that can be used in friendlies to a more realistic figure.
-
Pick the England squad from the championship and below and I recon you would get a better performance from those guys rather than the rich chavs we have at present.

That dullass is so thick that he probably forgot the words.

I did'nt say we were under the cosh, I said that we were holding on at the end. I can only base my viewpoint of England on what I have seen so far, and so far they have been miserable all be it a better display against Slovenia, but really we should have buried them but ended up having to run the ball into the corners near the end to waste time, hardly the sign of future conquerors of the world.
