Saints 1-1 Rotherham - Match Thread

Like we didn't see that coming. Predictable lethargic boring football and even the bottom clubs can read and cope with it. First half was better but it was obvious it wasn't going to last especially when you remove your only threat. It's very difficult to suffer and watch this shit. -

Predictable shite up front. -
Agreed, a win is a plus but we still looked average and just a bit better than Stoke.

I see the team are back on the tranquillisers again.

I must admit that I have been pretty scathing of RM but I did enjoy the passionate way he applauded the fans after the game. A good three points and played well first half but concerned how we deteriorated second half with subs also having little impact.
-
Starting to now look reminiscent of the last four games.
-
Hopefully at least we'll see some sensible football from saints today with a sensible team selection and not the clusterfuck of the last four games.

Forget the press as we are leaving our defence exposed and we are shit at it. Stop the aimless short passes at the back, I would rather see the long game than continually having to witness the defence pass it amongst themselves and getting absolutely nowhere. Once in the final third stay there with forward players making themselves available for a pass rather than playing it back and recycling. Finally, axe A Armstrong, Smallbone, Aribo, Manning, Holgate and put what's left in their strongest possible positions. But, I don't think any of this will happen with our present chancer

On the face of it Smallbone looks a controlled and stylish player but in reality that's because he releases the ball early along the backline continually passing responsibility to someone else. He either does not have the skill or basically will not try and find that cutting pass up front. He's scared to tackle and just floats about offering nothing. Just what we need in a piss poor team as it is

What the hell goes on in training?, for the life of me I can't see any improvements. Nothing is working on the pitch, nothing, zilch, jack, nada, zip, squat, nowt. How long does it go on with SR hiring and putting in charge total incompetence. That is now three in a row and probably counting. Useless fuckers

Don't even think about blaming that on Bazunu.

Owners, manager, team not fit for purpose.

What is there to support? Too many duff dinners have been dished up over the years and no one wants to eat any more..
-
Possibly already has

The big problem is that I don't think RM is capable of changing the system or even wanting to.
-
They did what we asked😱😱😱..... And there is the underlying problem.
-
Get rid of it as soon as you receive it must be the new saints Moto, Smallbone being the master at it. No cutting pass, no ability to get passed a player and no guts to try and carve an opening. A and S Armstrong just running headlong into walls of players and Adams being his usual selfish self. The defence pitifully running about as if a flashbang had just gone off in their faces. If I wasn't so angry I would be pissing myself with laughter watching that total shambles. It looks like SR have pulled another blinder thinking this guy has the credentials to put us back in the prem. It was obvious before he joined and it's is blindingly obvious now.

I thought it would be impossible for saints to sink to new lows but they keep coming fast and furious.
-
Utterly shambollicks.
-
We looked like a team of strangers with a new manager against Sunderland....................................oh!.
-
Amazing how we totally ignored the goalkeeper situation in the transfer window.
-
That's enough of that shit.
-
Christ, our defence playing playground football.
-
Since our best ever transfer window?
