Newcastle finished 5th with a worse squad than we have currently and at the time Manchester United were really good. Very improbable but not impossible. Go Pelle!
We March On
I was underwelmed but as a loan thought it was a decent signing which sorted our LB's out for the season, the negative hysteria on here had got out of control by most on here by that point. "Oh no we've signed a Chelsea player on loan who has played and won a champions league final what a nightmare!"
With Chambers being relegated to the under 21s looks very likely he will be in the squad and I would expect him to start both games as well. I mean who else is there?
Expect most players will be increase by one or two over the season like last season and in the case of Matty Targett I expect his will increase by at least 10 epecially if Bertrand has a long term injury.
Boo them during the game, applaud after if they come over and applaud us. Even Man United fans booed David Beckham when he touched the ball for AC Milan at old trafford despite cheering him when he came on.
Football is such a fickle game, if poch wins next week then follows up with another 4-0 like against QPR all media and fans will be singing his praises. I really don't get the people that get so worked up over every single result.
As weekends go though this has been the most satisfying one for us I can't remember! We March On!
They really won't be financially. Makes it all the more hilarious how it happened last year and they've spent big but not brought in an out n out centre back after two older world class ones had left though.
I think if we had a 40k capacity, We'd get 38-40k regularly IF Games were priced as follows
Cat A- £35-45 Adults £25-35 11-18 year olds
Cat B £20-30 Adults £15-25 11-18 year olds
Cat C £15-25 Adults £10-20 11-18 year olds
Varied pricing from lowest-highest= family end up to premium ends
Cheaper match day and season tickets and we could get 40k regularly look at the Arsenal game 5000+ on a tuesday cup game and many have missed out including myself. All about a large proportion of supporters being priced out IMO. If we priced our tickets like germany do we'd be a sell out every week.
