Which ever way I do that BBC predictor we can only get up on goal difference, finishing above both Charlton and Colchester but below Huddesfield. Therein lies the problem - there are nine teams currently better placed above us.
-
Bizarrely I can answer that one. Just been chatting with Lawrie about an hour ago, whilst we were both waiting for our cars at Southampton Audi. He will be there but not as a guest of the club. As noted earlier NC doesn't do guests or ambassadors.

I heard when P&L split up, she walked into a recording contract and he walked into a lamp post. OK, I'll get my coat.

Steve Bull is a Wolves legend with a stand named after him. He never played for them in the EPL (or equivalent)

How much other teams (Norwich) have really spent...
Kingsland Red replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I suppose we could blame the smoka-da-splif laid back approach of our double Dutch friends but the commitment of the current players listed compared with the cant be arsed mentality ( excepting Surman) of their predecessors is considerable. Also Lambo v McG penalties!!! -
Presumably all income streams drying up. I would not have thought the administrator would run the set up for long having all responsibility for trading since admin. I would expect massive playing staff cuts if they lose the semi final.

Respect to the manager and players: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Grant-I-will-help-fund.6161978.jp Whilst Saggy, Storrieteller etc have bled the club dry these guys , in the wrong place at the wrong time, are getting involved.

I agree and still fail to understand why UHY Hacker marched into the 'signposted minefield' themselves. Someone (AA?) was themselves ill advised. As I understand it they fund administration and are also hanging their hat on a nutter with a big cheque book coming over the horizon.
-
The money they've wasted to maintain a position above Saints has been phenomenal, not forgetting admin 10 years ago. Was it really worth it, maybe better to accept there's only one team in Hampshire!

The -9 points, comments in the Matt Slater BBC blog, and the failure to put up the £3m. One of the most entertaining half hours this thread has had for some time !!

The ever increasing number of 'covert' away fans in the Kingsland, the home of partisan comment. I dont want to sit next to Swindon, Leeds etc fans Mr Luker.

We lacked a bit of energy last night but like against Pompey, as a compact team we get very stretched by pace. Without Otsemobor our right side was solid with Thomas defensively, but gave away attacking possession too often and James was , well, his usual self and nowhere near good enough. We also started lumping balls into the mixer far too early, from about 65 minutes onwards which meant the last half hour was non-percentage stuff. Last night I also think Punscheon and Hammond had off games. A couple of players in the summer and we'll have a good side next year.
-
Anonymous last night compared to Connolly. I am hoping he wasn't out of his depth.
-
Thomas was poor and too may attacks broke down when he got the ball. James crosses from far too deep - same old. Punscheon and Lallana were either off the pace or well marshalled,Hammond and Barnard were lacking their usual energy . Otherwise I thought Saints were OK against a spritely Swindon team and if the shots against the bar and post had gone in then who knows.... Next season is the promotion push now so let's enjoy the rest of this one in the mid table obscurity we craved last October.

Slack reporting or is -£95m the latest state of play ? - Blimey ! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8570134.stm

Kingsland Red replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
Both 'MK Dons' tickets and 'restricted sale' tickets arrived yesterday. Also Southend tickets for the 'Play off party' !!!! -

It seems Chanrai has come to the same conclusion as SWF regarding Pompey's latest chancers: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Chainrai-worried-about-39chancers39.6154606.jp

So Lloyd is a scouse millionaire property developer and horse racing tycoon but according to the News is not putting his own money in. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Lloyd-Believe-me--I.6151840.jp Strange the prospective owner is using such an obscure player as a front man rather than a PR company or local celebrity.

Interesting comments about the derby game, PES. Lets not forget that players signed by Saints in the January window, as part of the rebuilding process and involved since - Fonte, Otsemobor and Punscheon - were not available whilst players PFC recruited - Quincy, O'Hara and Tosic ( who lucky for PFC didn't get on)were able to play. Dont dismiss our subsequent results, we now have a far stronger side with a variety of attacking options. Oh and Connolly was injured.

The HMRC wont like this. As a consultant Storrie will be responsible for paying his own tax and NI !

Confirmed on BBC South Today. I wonder if he will be asked to hand in his passport whilst the investigation is ongoing !!!

Trust the Echo: Storrieteller in quick get away !! http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/5056907.Pompey_escape_winding_up_hearing/ (The photo of FP chums)

"HMRC would expect that now that the issue of validity is no longer in question, the administrator will be able to make early and real progress with the administration in order to get the best and most equitable return for all creditors." Will at the end of the season do Mr HMRC ? !!!!!
