I see the "In the Building " phrase as the same as " As I said before" that all professionals are schooled in at the FA School of Nonsense, or its predecessor "At this level" or "This is what its all about". Some managers prefer "Triffic" or other mindless comments. Ian Holloway or WGS are a rare breed that have the ability to communicate with their fellow human beings as well as coach the art of pig bladder movement around a newly cut field of grass.

Nice to have a manager who you can understand on the high level screens. Saints specialised in incoherent managers for many years - I needed a babble fish for Strachan, Burley and the Dutch

.... and of course the opposition do their homework and ensure he is double marked, thus creating space for others / making others look good. No wonder he drops deeper.

People never notice the 'water carriers'. I sit in the Kingsland near the gantry and you would have thought from that view, people would appreciate his work rate and ability to nick the ball back - no chance !

I'm secretary of Winchester Youth FC and can confirm I received the letter. it was not to be a feeder club but to recommend them players. As we have a steady stream of players going to Reading, Saints and Pompey ( and back again!) it was to advise that they have recommenced their youth set up.

If he didn't have such an injury record he probably wouldn't be here in the first place, so if the best we get is an impact player then I'm OK with that.

How can the building contract be determined by NC? Contractors in the UK price their preliminaries against a JCT (Joint Contracts Tribunal) or IFC (Intermediate form of contract) contract which are recognised by the construction industry professionals, with insurances, damages, defects periods etc all determined in the documents the contractor prices.

As a lad I used to watch him at Welling United when Tony Agana was also there, before they both went to Weymouth. He never mentions Welling!!!
-
If he struck it like his penalties then the ref's head could have been removed.

As the blokey next to me in the Kingsland used to say to me ( on a regular basis) - If his father wasn't Ian Wright, he'd be a dustman.

His knowledge of the local football scene was second to none at Salisbury (not sure if he's still there?). He also welcomed everyone there and was always prepared to chat, a very humble man.

I would stay as a sole trader as you will save a lot of money including the cost of submitting annual accounts to Companies House. I have been a sole trader or partner for 20 years, am VAT registered and employ up to 10 people. Be careful, if you are a limited company then the company will own your property and you will not be able to get it back as an individual.

When I was a lad I used to love the Colemansballs section of Private Eye, easy for a young lad to understand in amongst all the political satire.Times have changed and are more agressive, especially on internet forums !

Apologies if I rattles anyone's cage - it tickled me at the time !!!!!

Panic over, the OS 'writer' has changed it to "... along with another solid performance from the towering defender ..."

I thought Oldham took the lead on Saturday: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2196256,00.html "That combined with another clean sheet for the towering defender"

You've got a decent honest man as manager Mao Cap, Andy Ford is quality.

How can 40 years be golden? Good point Dellman. They were obviously impatient, those 1920s Saints historians.
-
I'm afraid having got involved when an old school mate at Gravesend became chairman, I backed away when MYFC got involved and my old mate ceased to be chairman. I did make the Wembley trip though !

Surely some of the former are included in the latter (?) Matron allows me to sit in the Kingsland despite me refusing to sit beneath a tartan blanket, or take a thermos.

Some on here will never understand the water carriers. Another good game from Hammond ( and Spiderman) driving the team on.

I've no idea what is going on but to all departing mods, Steve and Baj - as a Saints supporter who likes to stay in touch with the word on the street - thanks for all your work to date and good luck ! COYR
