  1. £325.00 for access to hospitality between Pyramid and The Other Stage, great for easy bar access, clean toilets and the ability to take more than two steps forard without crashing into someone - oh and mixing with the stars.
  2. Just back from Glasto. We took the kids, 17 and 20, no probs but never saw them, they lived in the Dance Village, we stuck to the main stages !
  3. I think we may have to review our assessment of Messi, as I thought he was a tad better than what we've seen from Adam Lallana to date ! Early doors in the boy Lallana's career though.
  4. You beat me to it. they were my premiership team until that comment.
  5. (Fat) Jeff King at Canvey island when they won the FA Trophy
  6. A few years ago I was behind a volvo towing a caravan under a bridge on the A31 at Ringwood. A lorry charged past in the outside lane and literary blew the caravan over, flipping the volvo too, which just missed the support for the bridge over. I screeched to a stand still and ran towards the car to get the folk out. The bloke behind me phoned the police who diverted traffic up the slip road and down the other side by-passing the carnage. No major injuries but the family were supposed to be getting a ferry from Poole so I assume they must have aborted their holiday. I think the automatic reaction is to do whatever you can to help.
  7. I remember a few years ago a thread was about Saints having one of the worst points records over a specified timescale, primarily due to the constant struggle to stay in the Premiership. The last two seasons should have improved that one.
  8. Born and raised in North Kent I supported Gravesend & Northfleet (Ebbsfleet now) and the Gills until I went to uni. Moved to Winchester after uni in 1987 and started to go to The Dell with mates. Never got near the top of the season ticket waiting list ( got to about 198 in the end) but got season tickets at St Marys My sons were born in Winchester and although at uni have always been Saints daft.
  9. I like what you're saying nige is a scunny fan !
  10. About time and thoroughly deserved. Top Man !
  11. After weeks or covert operations with Saints supporters sitting in the home end at Brentford and Plymouth, I wonder how diligent our own stewards will be with the massive "away" support tomorrow.
  12. Excluding friendlies and testamonials I think this Saturday will be my first match since the end of the Strachan cup final season when I will not be anxious until we are at least 2-0 up. Paul Jones and the extra time board meltdowns have a lot to answer for, but unless we go 15-0 down I am determined to enjoy the entire occasion.
  13. Ah, UEFA recognition for our coaching and sports science set up (?)
  14. Top appointment, a man who plays the percentages, and has brought a calculated quality to a club that has been on a bit of a whimsical journey with the likes of Burley, Pardew, Arry and, erm the Dutch, ( I did like Pearson though). COYR
  15. Thank you NC and of course ML. I just wonder if the new Saints since their takeover are a bit more calculated than the old wing and a prayer Saints we were all used to. Whilst the stalwarts expressed doubts about each forthcoming fixture, NA etc just went and won it !
  16. I am. In my youth anyone could win the league, and proper football clubs like us from a provincial cities had a chance. Now those clubs are mostly in the championship ( Nottm Forest, Burnley, Norwich, Ipswich, Leicester, Derby etc)
  17. Phew, good win but missed a hatful in the first half. How can Guly be off side from Lallana's cross from the goal line?
  18. Great times. It was only a few years ago when someone playing about ten games for us won it by default (Andrew Davies?) due to a total lack of talent.
  19. His controlled football, retaining the ball and playing percentages, especially when holding a lead, would appear to be the way forward. Frustrating at times ( eg 1-0 against the 10 men of Carlisle) but hopefully justifiable if we climb the leagues.
  20. Taken out of the Charlton programme and updated to include the Charlton and Orient results, so excludes the MK Dons away game.
  21. Congratulations to NA. After winning at the Orient, NA's points average is currently more than 2 points per game: Plyd 33 W 20 D 7 L 6 Very rare when a mid season change of manager.
  22. It had to be said DeanO6, and we have a better goal difference.
  23. Love the way Manish (sp?) and Rosenior discuss Brighton, Udders, Posh, MK Dons and Rochdale but dont mention the Saints. Have we upset someone ? Let's hope so !
  24. Bizarre how often BWP appeared on the Udders thread.
