Indeed. The entertainment business is full of unpleasant people with over inflated egos and no self awareness. Gregg Wallace is just another in a long line of them. It’s a business and it is what’s on screen that counts, until something like this happens. The BBC seem to have been burnt by previous and much bigger issues concerning their presenters so are now overcompensating with the Wallace saga. There is no way that it should be the lead story on their main news shows. As for Wallace, he should have apologised, offered to seek help and kept his head down for a while. By doubling down and making further unhelpful comments he has just dug himself a bigger hole.

You see a greyed out box with the ignored persons name on it when they post. If it appears under your last post there is a reasonably good chance that post refers to your last post. If you click that box it gives you three options - show this post - stop ignoring posts by xxxx - change your ignore preferences. So it is entirely possible to have someone on ignore but chose to read a post of theirs if you so wish on occasions. Posts from people on your ignore list still show up on your screen when someone else quotes them so the ignore function is not foolproof. As you are one of the serial stalkers on here I suggest that you put the people who trigger you (me being one of those) on your ignore list and find another hobby.

There are a small number of posters on here who become obsessed with other posters and feel the need to respond almost immediately, usually with a dig, at everything you post. These are apparently mature men with families. You have to wonder what their wives and children would make of their behaviour. I have acquired a few over the years. You get used to it eventually.
