I have never met or sat next to Andrew Parker Bowles. People make stuff up and you find it funny. You seem a bit gullible. I hope that you run your farm better than you operate on social media.
-
He is not just an MP. He is the leader of the Reform party. He has also been very vocal about the cause of the ripts as well as very vocal about immigrants and immigration. Do you understand the difference? Do you think that maybe the riots serve his purpose? He has been trying to stoke up race hate for years. Why would he call for the rioters to stop?
-
Fair enough.
-
No it didn’t. He made it up. Just like he makes other stuff up. It’s what he does and is part of his attention seeking schtick.
-
I heard him condemn the violence to, very quickly, but he did. What he didn’t do is to tell the rioters to stop. Something that you would expect from a concerned, responsible MP.
-
My point is that you seem to have come a conclusion about one party after a couple of weeks when you have had 14 years of poor management from the Tories. It seems a bit soon to call them out but yes you are more than entitled to your opinion and to disagree with mine of course. Please do. It would make a pleasant change from the usual suspects.
-
Out of interest do you remember him telling the rioters to stop? Going back to his quote, do you think it is more likely to encourage the racists to take things even further or less likely?
-
More relaxed than the party who let the figures run wild and stopped even processing the claims of asylum seekers? Labour have been in government for 4 weeks. The Tories were in power for 14 years. Perhaps give it some time before you decide that they are going to be worse on figures.

I was talking to him, not you, and he has a history of posting drivel rather than just doing so occasionally. Instead of going to the aid of a likeminded person who is quite capable of defending himself, why don’t you respond to my questions? Maybe because you are just making things up? No surprise from a conspiracy theorist I guess. I do remember a conspiracy theorist from TUI, but it can’t have been you as, apart from his bonkers theories, he seemed like a pleasant guy. So which one are you?

Apparently a small number of anti-immigrant demonstrators targeted an office in Southampton that deals with the migration of British people to the US, Australia etc.

The Tories brought in the cap and didn’t lift it while they were in power. Labour have said they disagree with the cap but can’t afford to lift it at the moment but will look at lifting it in the future when they can. In the meantime they are dealing with child poverty through other measures such as breakfast clubs. Hope that helps? -
I was talking to someone else, but as you have butted in. It is a football forum. Personal attacks, inane drivel and childish nonsense are commonplace. What is this documentary that doesn’t exist? See through me? There is nothing to see through mate. My opinions are obvious and transparent. You are the one who loves a conspiracy theory and it looks like you are trying to cook up another one now. Where is you evidence that I asked the admin on TUI to remove others that didn’t agree with me? Nick banned a couple of people for his own reasons but I never asked him to ban anybody. All I expect from admin is that they do their jobs and keep a lid on abusive behaviour, not unreasonable is it? I was certainly abused by some there with extreme views, if you were there I expect you were one of them.

A cursory look at the news this morning shows that a man was arrested for throwing a brick and a bottle at police and you think that it is unlikely that someone had her windscreen smashed? Ok. And as I said, I don’t know this person so why say that I do? There are countless occasions when people mention things that are relative to the narrative of the thread. Do you have a problem with that. You say that I mention things that support my position. The first thing that I mentioned yesterday was a conversation I had with someone with experience of the riots in NI talking about his view of the policing of these riots. Not my view. His view. You say there is an ever growing cast of characters. I have mentioned this guy before and the other character is twice removed, so hardly “ever growing” is it. The second thing I mentioned was that the friend of a work colleague of my wife, who is of Asian origin, had had her car windscreen smashed. Given the amount of hatred shown towards people of a different colour skin this last week and the violence we have witnessed, why would I bother making something up that pales into insignificance against everything else in order to support a view? We all know what is going on, apart from those who support attacks on Muslims, and why. You are a sad little man who gets called out time and again for your unpleasant views and you are so desperate to score points that you even resort to posting laughing emojis on threads about the death of children. Like most people I have friends and acquaintances and, like most people, we discuss the issues of the day. Like most people we relay anything pertinent to the subject of the conversation to the other people. It is common practice and happens frequently in here too. You have done it yourself but of course that doesn’t count does it? You have mentioned your family members when talking about Muslims. You have mentioned your female work colleagues when talking about women’s pay levels and their attitude towards it. You have mentioned all number of things that involve other people you know that are relevant to the narrative at the time. So what makes your position any different than mine? If I did it every day I would agree that you had a point, but over the many years we have been posting here I doubt very much if I have done it much more than you. In my experience, those who are most likely to lie accuse others of lying because that is the behaviour they expect. I don’t accuse others of lying when they talk of conversations with other people. If I was going to go to the trouble of making things up I would make them far more interesting. I relate the opinion of a man who served in NI in The Troubles about the way the police have handled the riots so far and also that someone had had their windscreen smashed in the early evening in Bristol where a riot was expected. I mentioned that she had brown skin as, given the circumstances, it might well have been relevant. Neither of these things do anything to advance my view or opinion. They are relative to the narrative of the thread. Nothing more, nothing less. And to save you the trouble, this one’s for you 😂
-
It wasn’t “absolute bollocks” and if you have listened to the news subsequently you will have heard that there were some minor incidents in Bristol. Given the events of the last week, why are you even trying to pretend that it was “absolute bollocks.” Far worse things have happened.

One person had experience of riots in Northern Ireland in the 80’s and I have known him for 12 years. Another person I have never met and probably will never met has her windscreen smashed. Not sure what the big deal is there but if it floats your boat, go for it.

This woman is not racist apparently, according to her husband. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/tory-s-pathetic-excuse-for-why-wife-isn-t-racist-for-encouraging-rioters-to-burn-hotels/ar-AA1ont1d?cvid=bf266d445c1d429aa12785f78912b12e&ei=8

Mrs Sog has just returned from work and her colleague, who is Nepalese, has a friend (who also has brown skin) in Bristol who texted her to say that her car windscreen has been smashed by a rock.

The Eat Out scheme helped spread the virus further. He was advised not to do it but did it anyway. You say you didn’t hear any criticism at the time? I heard plenty. No, I didn’t use the scheme. I didn’t fancy the idea of getting Covid. He handed out money as if it was going out of fashion, often to people who didn’t need it as it wasn’t means tested. A lot of it the treasury will never get back. The bloke I used to work for who ran his own small business applied for every hand out going and got them even though he didn’t need it. He saw it as an interest free loan. I was self employed and was laid off with no financial help at all. Yes, it was a difficult time and he had a very difficult job. He did a job, I wouldn’t say that he did it that well. -
Probably because they can’t find the court time for the brown skinned person of a religion you hate as they are dealing with so many white male rioters.

The sentences being handed out so far seem relatively lenient compared to other offenders. Two tier justice system? Perhaps we should consider revoking British citizenship for those convicted of terrorism? They have set a precedent already with Sharmeena Begum.

One minute OAPs are being slagged off because of the triple lock, the next they are being used as a stick to beat Labour by because a short term benefit is being modified. I am losing my fuel allowance but I have also benefited from the triple lock. Swings and roundabouts. -

The Tories brought in the benefit cap in the first place. Labour have said they will get rid of it when they can afford to, but in the meantime they are bringing in other measures to help. They have made it clear since before they were elected that their hands would be tied over many ambitions because of the financial situation they have inherited. Still, the last 14 years is all down to Labour isn't it? You could make it up and you do, frequently. 🙄
