  1. Let us try this one more time as you are obviously struggling with it. The Home Secretary is ultimately responsible for the police in the UK. The Home Secretary is ultimately responsible for the recruitment of the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. Do you accept that Mayor Sadiq Khan, as the Lord Mayor of London is probably quite a busy man in his day job? So much so that he probably doesn’t have time to run the Met Police on a day to day basis? Do you accept that he probably leaves that to the Commisioner of the Met Police? Do you accept that he didn’t get on particularly well with Cressida Dick? Do you think that was because they were great friends and he thought she was doing a great job? Is it remotely possible that they didn’t get on because he didn’t think she was doing a good job and that he was putting pressure on her to change things? The Casey Report says that he and the commissioner have a disfunctuonsl relationship. Do you think that is because Khan thinks Rowley is doing a great job or because he is not happy with the Met and is pushing for changes? Sadiq Khan is a Muslim, agreed? Do you think that he is happy that the Met have been found to be institutionally racist yet again? Do you think that, not once, he has sat down with the Commissioner and asked what they were doing about it? How embarrassed are you that Labour are now coming across as the party for law and order rather than your Tories? (And before you say that is pony, Starmer said more today about they way forward than Braverman ever has. In fact she even went as far as playing down the severity of the Bailey report the other day). Having read your posts for many years I am now at the point with you where I have to invoke Godwin’s Law. Your constant support for the pathological liar, Boris Johnson, and the nasty, racist Little Englander, Nigel Farage and the fact that you are happy to turn a blind eye to the sort of behaviour amongst polititians that most decent people find abhorrent, leads me to believe that, had you been resident of Germany in the 1930’s, you would have been a fully paid up card carrying member of the Nazi Party. Not once have I seen you call out Johnson for his behaviour. In fact you say you would have him back as London mayor despite everything we know about him and his behaviour. If anyone calls out far right agitators like Tommy Robinson, Katie Hopkins etc, you attack them and never a word of criticism about them or their conduct. Whenever you refer to people of a different country you have to use words like Mick rather than Irish or Sweaty rather than Scottish.Your language and attitude is still rooted in the 1970’s to the extent that I think you much spend your evenings watching reruns of Jim Davidson, Bernard Manning and Love Thy Neighbour. You probably sit there laughing with Alf Garnett rather than at him. To finish, children in London have cleaner air to breath thanks to the work of Sadiq Khan yet to you that is not a good thing. Sadiq Khan is not responsible for the financial cuts made in the Criminal Justice System over the last 13 years yet you lay the blame at his feet. Anyone who has worked in the CJS over the last 13 years will tell you that the problems are down to cuts in resources. I know you will have a problem believing that a right wing government has gone soft on crime, just as Boris Johnson can’t believe that he has done anything wrong over Partygate etc. it goes with the territory. It is all the fault of Lefty Lawyers, Pinkos, immigrants, liberals, LBGT, the Unions. Nothing is ever the fault of the Government, just as we have seen over the years with other authoritarian regimes and are witnessing first hand with Putin. Sorry, one more thing before I leave you. Remind me again what Boris Johnson said when Putin rolled into the Crimea. Try as I might I cannot find anything remotely calling Putin out for his actions from Boris Johnson. Could it be then perhaps that his later attempt to be a poster boy for Ukraine support was more to do with his ratings in the polls than genuine concern for the Ukraine? Surely not! It doesn’t really matter because his type can do no wrong in your eyes as long as he keeps throwing red meat in your direction.
  2. As I said, the Home Secretary is responsible for appointing the commissioner of the Met. If you have done your research you will know that Mayor Khan was not at all happy with Cressida Dick and is not happy with the current situation with the Met. This is the responsibility of the police, not Khan. So you would like the return of Johnson as London Mayor? I am sure Londoners will have been delighted to learn that Johnson used some of their money to fund his adulterous affair with Jennifer Acuri. He was also responsible for closing down many fire stations but I guess Londoners weren’t bothered about that either. Apparently the vast majority of the success of the London Olympics was down to the hard work of others too despite him taking the credit.I didn’t realised that you lived in London though so you clearly know best.
  3. I corrected my statement. I am still not aware that calling someone an immigrant is a hanging offence given that we are all immigrants at some point in our family history. I don’t have a problem with Priti Patel because she is a Tory. I have a problem with her because of her inhumane policies. If you bother to engage your brain when reading my posts that would be obvious to you. So, after sitting through 3 hours 20 minutes of Johnson in full Johnson mode, what is absolutely clear is that he has no meaningful relationship with the truth. The truth is whatever he decides to believe at any given moment. Whatever you think about Campbell he is 100% spot on in his assessment of Johnson (despite Batman’s attempt to deflect attention from Johnson by turning it on Campbell). Harmon made a perfect point in summing up, if you are doing 100mph and can see on the speedo that you are doing 100mph, do you need someone else to confirm the speed you are doing? His argument that a leaving do was an essential meeting at work fell apart when asked if he would have said that on tv in the guidance. Of course he would have said no then but he waffled on in an embarrassing attempt to backtrack. Sadly though, the point remains that whilst people were not allowed to be with their loved ones to say their goodbyes, staff in no 10 were able to get drunk and shag in cupboards on Johnson’s watch. There are still people who would have this dreadful man back as PM, that’s how low this country has sunk. I should add that the most bizarre moment for me was watching a congenital liar swear on the bible that he will tell the truth.
  4. Middle class concerns? But I don’t even have a BBQ or a pizza oven in my shed (I don’t have a garage)! Check your facts Duckie. The Home Office is responsible for the recruitment of the commissioner and Dick resigned because she did not have the confidence of the Mayor’s office, something which surely you are onside with? Instead of posting the type of “pony” that appeals to my daily stalker (still finding time to read this forum despite supposed to be “doing business” in Denmark) perhaps you would be better off doing some research so that, at least, your posts will be more informed rather than the usual knee jerk reactionary rubbish. PS. Is you problem with Khan based on the fact that he is both a “lefty” and a Muslim? Surely a double whammy in your book. I am guessing so because you do not spend a second of your time criticising Johnson or any of the dodgy cabinet members in the Tory party despite shedloads of evidence that they lie and are grossly corrupt and incompetent.
  5. But he is and he did more to deal with Cressida Dick than the government. Sorry to hear that you have a problem with cleaner air. I bet you were furious when the clean air act was brought in. I guess that you are also happy that Braverman said that she wanted the police force to be more concerned for its own safety than that of the public? This is what you voted for.
  6. If I was his boss I wouldn’t be very happy that I had sent him to Denmark on business but he was still spending his time posting inane drivel on a football forum when he should be working. Anyway, back to this dreadful government. Isn’t it a shame that the Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, isn’t showing the same zeal in dealing with the problems within the Met as she is trying to deal with people seeking asylum. Interesting that she uses inflammatory language when talking about migrants but plays down the seriousness of the findings of the Casey report. The phone ins on LBC today have been full of people calling in, many of them serving or ex police officers, with stories backing up the depth of the problems outlined in the report. And at the same time we now hear that Johnson has decided to accept that he did, “unknowingly”, mislead Parliament. Apparently although he attended several parties and some others occurred during his home during the period of lockdown, he didn’t know that they were parties because he had not been told that is what they were. Ok then. He wants us to believe that, although he was on the TV daily explaining the rules either himself or with others, he was 100% reliant on someone else telling him that the illegal gatherings that he was either attending or were going on in his dwelling were legal or not. 🤔
  7. Even a senior member of her own party has suggested that she should “grow up”. Her behaviour throughout this whole sorry affair has been bizarre and unsettling. Who in their right mind would dream of deliberately making people’s lives worse when they are already at rock bottom? The language that she uses and the facial expressions that she pulls shows that she is revelling in human misery. As we can’t use the another analogy for fear of creating a shit storm, she would not be out of place in Putin’s team, other than they are stony faced and she can’t hide her glee in treating others like something she has found on the bottom of her shoe. Patel was bad enough but it really is saying something to find an even more odious person to take her place.
  8. I treat people with respect who earn that respect. You do not. As for unprovoked, my comments towards you have been completely provoked. It is what you do. You go after people on internet forums who don’t conform to your agenda. That is why you were eventually banned from TUI. I called you a narcissist because that is what you are and is clear to anyone reading your posts here or previously on TUI. Remember how upset you got over there when someone else tried to steal your crown as the ITK king? Did I actually call you are racist? I don’t think I did. What I did say is that you go after people who call out racism and wonder why that is. As they say in America, you do the math. Did I deny that there wasn’t any violence at BLM marches? If I likened you to Katy Hopkins and Tommy Robinson that is because you come across in your posts just as stupid as they do. Most decent people see them for what they are, yet you go after people who call them out. Again, why would you do that unless you had some sympathy for them and their views. You infected TUI and were all over it like a rash and have done the same to this forum since you got kicked out of there. If it isn’t me you find others to go after but, oddly enough, you don’t go after the likes of Batman who clearly has issues with foreign people. Hmmmmm. As I have said before, you lap this up. For narcissists all attention is good attention. As another poster said, you are an attention seeking whore. There is an old saying that you can tell a lot about somebody by the company they keep and when you see the posters who tend to follow you around it says it all. You are the archetype internet forum playground bully and before you start the old he started it b/s, normal posters don’t get banned from forums.
  9. Odd view? It was the view of the CPS based on all of the evidence at hand and he was found guilty at the initial trial. Hardly “odd” and if he had been Mohammed Evans with another Muslim mate you would have been all over it. In the Boycott case I pointed out that a relative and a close friend of the alleged victim both said that she claimed that she had fallen and had not been punched. I also asked the question whether there was a doctor’s report to support the picture of the bruises (you might recall that some alleged victims provide fabricated evidence as in the recent rape case that was overturned but you ignored because it meant you couldn’t pin the rapes on Asians). From the evidence I could see it was very much a he said she said case and I wondered what made the judge find him guilty. Not odd at all unless you have the posting history and the strange mindset of Delldays/Batman.

    The Budget

To say that this government is being blamed for “everything” is another facile comment. They are being blamed for their mistakes and mismanagement and there has been plenty of that over the last 13 years. As for Labour, not only do they have to fight the opposition parties, they have to fight the right wing media too. They did themselves no favours electing an easy target like Corbyn either. He never stood a chance against the combined forces of the Mail, Sun, Telegraph, Express etc. Sadly during the last election the swing voters swallowed Johnson’s bullshit and we not only elected one of our worst PMs ever, but we gave the Tories a thumping majority which meant they could get away with anything, and pretty much did. A Starmer government will be centre Left, which is no bad thing as it will not scare off those who are easily persuaded by the right’s less offensive policies. I would prefer a Labour/LibDem coalition though. There is a lot of damage to be repaired and hopefully between them they could get a big enough majority to make the changes required and keep in office for at least the next decade. I get the point between swinging from Left to Right, but we are by nature a centrist country and I think we are better off sticking to the middle road rather than changing course every few years. We know that the trickle down economic policy is crap and the days of looking after the richest because they will in turn look after the rest of us will hopefully be consigned to the dustbin of history. We need economic policies that help everybody across society, not just the people who think that it is ok to replace the local national grid in order to heat your swimming pool when more and more ordinary people are afraid to turn on their heating or are reliant on food banks. The football is almost upon us, time to walk the dog I think.

    The Budget

But it isn’t just about the (high level of) corruption is it. The list is endless and tops anything I have experienced in this country in my lifetime. Incompetence. Dishonesty. Self serving. Inhumane. Zero self awareness. Shameless. There are just no redeeming features whatsoever. Whatever you think of Starmer, he cares and he wants to do the right thing for ordinary people, not just a select few. I have met both Johnson and Starmer and can tell you that they are worlds apart as people. You seem to be very young so you probably don’t get the difference between older generation Tories and this current bunch. Apart from Thatcher, you would be hard pressed to find many cabinet ministers more odious from those we have seen given jobs in the last few years. There have always been some back bench loonies popping up making complete idiots of themselves. The difference is that these types are now on the front benches too. The argument that Starmer and a Labour government will be no different to what we currently have is, with respect, completely facile. I am not saying they will be perfect, no government ever is. I am not saying that they won’t make mistakes or piss people off. You can’t govern without upsetting parts of the electorate. What you will get is a raising of the bar. Johnson managed to lower it to Trumpian levels of embarrassment and Sunak has done little to get rid of the rot at the heart of his party. Biden may not be a dynamic figure, but he is slowly repairing the damage that Trump did to America both at home and abroad. Starmer will have the same job here and I am willing to bet that you will see a real difference in what we have been served up with over the last few years.
  12. You might recall back in the Thatcher reign all the talk was about how, in the not too distant future, the retirement age would come down as would our working hours and we would all be able to enjoy more leisure time. The complete opposite has happened.
  13. The Met is a mess but has been a mess for some considerable time and Cressida Dick isn’t responsible for the state of it prior to 2017. It needs a complete overhaul but then that has been the case for years.

    The Budget

Nope. Why pay a fiver to get stalked by trolls? This place, unfortunately, is spoiled by a few freaks and playground bullies. Perhaps if they were sorted out it would be worth it but even when one of them is banned they return under a different name (eh Delldays/Batman?).

    The Budget

I did not say that they did/do nothing and you seem to ignore the fact that they have given billions to their mates (just as you always ignore everything else that does not fit in with your far right agenda). Bless you though for still trying to defend the indefensible. When the next GE comes around they will be heartened to know that they can still count on your vote and that Braverman and her nasty chums can continue to rely on you to support them on social media.
  16. Sorry to hear that. I wish you all the best mate. As for the Championship, should we go down I think we will do well. I have no idea who will stay and who will go but we know we have two proven goal scorers at that level, Adams and Armstrong. I think Mara would do well there too. Tella and Smallbone are proven performers at that level too now. You have to feel sorry for Tella though, going up with Burnley only to return to the Championship with us.

    The Budget

Assuming they win the next election, Labour will have to find the money for it though. People need help now. This would have had a real effect for a number of people now, unlike the pension plan (which is another Tory sop to the well off anyway). The only upside is that it is hopefully another nail in their coffin - along with Sunak upgrading his local national grid in order to get his swimming pool heated. Another Tory completely out of touch with reality and demonstrating to all where there priorities lie. With themselves. And yes Batman, I am whining about the Government again (but this time you started it). Who’d have thought it, more money in tax brakes for the well off but nothing for public services. Even when faced with obliteration at the polls, the Tories first thought is to look after their own and screw the rest of us. Despite everything there are still some people who will whine about the whiners and accuse people who are seriously struggling financially of it being their own fault. Tell that to the dozens of small businesses going under everyday thanks to the economic mess this country is in after 13 years of Tory (mis)rule.
  18. I know that you like to model yourself on Rees-Mogg Duckie but we live in the 21st century around here and call them pubs. You wouldn’t be banned from my local, but once the regulars found out you support Farage you might have to dodge the odd cold meat pie. I would also suggest that you don’t call any of the female bar staff “chicks” as you might find something unsavoury floating on the surface of your “ale”.
  19. To be fair, if it wasn’t me they would find someone else, as they often do. I think you are right. I expect that they were either school bullies or they were bullied at school, either way they feel a need to gravitate to others of the same ilk and find targets to attack. I guess it makes them feel better about themselves and gives them a feeling that they have some power in their lives. There is also a complete lack of self awareness in this small group of posters. The poster you responded to accuses me of living in an echo chamber and needing to get out more yet he spends far much more time posting on here than I do everyday. Perhaps he should take some of his own advice instead of following another similar poster around looking for targets to have a pop at? Another similar poster, let’s call him Batman, accused me yesterday of whining all the time. This coming from someone who spends all day every day trawling the internet to find things to whine about that suit his far right agenda ( check out his avatar too, nice). So “normal people” only talk about the weather? In my experience, when they have exhausted the weather, the latest episode of Line of Duty, whether the bins have been emptied or not - if you spend any length of time talking to them, will eventually get around to the main news of the day. So yes, when I go out, as I do occasionally, and meet other people, if we talk for any length of time, we will eventually talk about things like Brexit, the pandemic, Boris Johnson, the cost of living crisis, the latest Government cock up, strikes, Gary Lineker etc etc. Strangely enough, “normal people” do watch and listen to the news, read newspapers, read news items on their phones, form opinions and like to express those opinions to other “normal people” in real time. I know this happens outside of internet forums because I speak to “normal people” more than I post on internet forums. Sorry to disappoint you Weston. Now off you pop to check out who Turkish is having a go at today, you don’t want to miss out!
  20. I’m not whining about anything. Someone else brought it up. Also, the financial mess we are in is not only due to Covid. Perhaps you have forgotten the farce under Truss or the decade of austerity that had nothing to do with a pandemic? By the way, I see you haven’t posted on the Eleanor Williams case. Strange you only post when Asians are found guilty of rape and are not remotely interested when they are vindicated. I guess it doesn’t fit in with your agenda.
  21. The death toll would have been higher, but then that doesn’t worry you does it? Oh, and when you get likes from the resident knee jerk reactionary, you know you are talking cobblers.
  22. If you are referring to me, yet again you post without having a clue what you are talking about. Our financial issues and the problems we have experienced in trying to deal with them have a direct correlation to Government policies and their effects on personal finances. As for lives being better if this Government were no longer in power, I think the majority of of people believe that to be the case. As for you, why should you worry, you seem to have found a job where you can troll people all day long on the internet and get paid for it. Well done. I also think that I have made it abundantly clear that the problems I have with this Government relate to the problems they are causing for normal, everyday people, not just us. I appreciate though that as someone whose world revolves around himself and who spends his time stalking others in order to belittle them on social media, that concept is probably alien to you.
  23. You have to admire the brass neck of a man who posts constantly on issues that he is completely ignorant about whilst apparently still holding down a full time job. He is another cut from the same cloth as many cabinet members who think that it is perfectly ok to put utter bollocks out into the public domain in the hope that people will believe it. As any person with a modicum of intelligence would know, where you live has absolutely nothing to do with how you formulate your views on what is happening in the world around if you just take the trouble to look and engage your brain. As it happens I was born and raised with 4 miles of Westminster and a short walk from Brixton. You know, the place where many of the Windrush generation came in the 50’s. I spent many Saturdays wondering around the market in Brixton as a kid which is about as diverse as they come. I have spent much of my life living and working in London, one of the most diverse capitals in the world. I spent over 20 years of my life working for a national newspaper known for its liberal and humanitarian stance. The nearest town from where I currently live, Ashford, is as diverse as they come. I was born 9 years after the end of WW2 and have seen this country and the world change immeasurably, yet because I have retired to a small village in the middle of nowhere that is a reason to try and discredit my views on immigration. On the plus side, he and the few on here who support his daily trolling, constantly show themselves up for the ill informed people they are. On the minus side, these people have the vote and the time and energy to spend their days posting ignorant nonsense which is designed to influence others who are also hard of thinking. There are important issues to be discussed about migration both here and across the world, sadly everywhere on social media there are people like the few we have here who just drag it down to a Braverman/Patel level. If nothing else this ridiculous attempt by the right wing media to gaslight us and to overshadow the immigration bill has highlighted just how these thing work. It also helps to flush out those who support these dangerous policies. The more these people are called out and challenged the better chance we have of changing our society for the better.

    Coronavirus

For someone who believes he is a big hitter on social media, how come you ended up feeding the people running the U boats rather than helping to run them yourself? What a waste of someone with your massive insight and ability to scour the internet for just the right take down for any given situation. Perhaps MI6 could use your skills to try and topple Putin via social media?
  25. “Put up with?” This country is full of migrants from various generations and needs migrants to function. If you bothered to look at the stats you would see that most of these people, when they finally get around to having their claims processed, are “ legal” and are given asylum. But well done for continuing the Braverman rhetoric in language similar to that used by the German government in the 1930’s. Anyway, back to the football on the BBC. I didn’t bother with MOTD on Saturday but did watch it last night. How crap was that without a commentary and analysis? Whatever you think of the taters and pundits, they do add something to the proceedings that’s worth having.
