  1. Yes apparently he was. And what is wrong with being tolerant towards people who do you no harm?
  2. I really don't know what the breakdown of religious following is but as we seem to be targeting Islam which is the second biggest religion it seems to make sense to use as a comparison Christianity which is the biggest religion on the planet. Just a silly little conceit on my part, granted. Would you agree that the colour of a man's skin or his religious bent makes little difference to whether he is capable of committing a crime or not?

The SKY money was no where near the level it is at the moment and trying to get any other outside investment not only provided to be futile for Lowe, it did so for Wilde and those who followed. It was only when Marcus bought the club that our fortunes improved. Can you imagine how difficult it must have been trying to keep the club afloat on home crowds of 15,000? I bet even The Don would have struggled in those days. The Club Historian famously wrote once that he had spoken to Lowe and Lowe said that he didn't know where the next £1 was coming from. Fortunately we have an owner with some dosh and a great deal of money from SKY. It is a completely different situation now, thankfully.
  4. To be honest Whelk I think I probably do. I also know that people can carry out the most despicable deeds no matter what race, religion or creed. Batman keeps going on about the Crusades as if that was the only time that "Christians" have carried out atrocities. We all know that is not the case.
  5. Yeah, that year was special. But it is okay because Christians are all peaceful hippies now and wouldn't hurt a fly. Although there seem to be daily murders and rapes carried out by Christians but lets ignore them because we are cool and those nasty Islam people are evil.

Oh dear, another tedious post from the most miserable bloke on the planet. It is no illusion. They used to go out for meals with their wives and you will be hard pushed to find quotes from WGS slagging him off. Still, as it doesn't fit in with you agenda you will believe what you want. Have a nice day.

Milking the profits? And what profits would they be? And our last FA Cup Final came under those boys.

  9. That would explain it!
  10. Are we sure about that?
  11. The two better brothers were SO much better. I don't know how Ray ever got a game for us.

  13. Bergkamp was awesome but I still think MLT was better to watch. I remember one time at Selhurst Park where he brought the ball down in our area, shimmied past two Palace players, ran the length of the pitch and put a shot just past the far post. Yes I know, he ran the length of pitch so it cant have been him! LOL That moment was worth the admission fee alone. Scholes? Excellent player but how many times did he get sent off for ugly tackles?

  15. Quite so. Just because they are using a book to sort out hostages does not mean that a whole religion is evil.
  16. He could well have a fatwah put out on him by now!
  17. In this particular post you not only call me a liar (see above) but you also seem to have a problem with me expressing an opinion on a forum that I have paid £5 to join and am at complete liberty to express an opinion. I think we can safely say that whatever shred of credibility you had has been shot to pieces. Checkmate.
  18. How could it not be relevant to the discussion? I was asking you how you would feel if your loved ones were in the picture and whether you would still be happy for it to be published. It really isn't a hard question to answer. If you really think that anybody on here needed that picture to know what monsters those people are then I think you do the posters a disservice. You accuse me of making things up, feel free to find where I have said lets sit down and have a cup of tea with ISIS. As for you calling me a liar, you have done so several times on here and on another thread.
  19. You keep calling me a liar. I would say that is name calling even if you don't. It is also incredibly childish. As for the National Socialist Party in Germany, apart from Appeasement do you really think there were not further efforts to stop the war even after it started? There were further attempts to work with moderates on the other side to bring about a faster resolution to the war. Interestingly President Obama doesn't seem to be overly keen to put his troops into Syria and is looking at other ways apart from bombing to find a solution to this conflict. Even the Queen has taken tea with people who are responsible either directly or otherwise for terrorist atrocities in Northern Ireland. Things and situations change. As for the graphic and disturbing picture, I notice you haven't responded to my point about how you would feel if one of those bodies belonged to someone you know and care about. It is relevant because these people have loved ones elsewhere who might well be very distressed to come across these images on the internet even if you and Guan are not. If you are cool with that image on a football internet forum that is your opinion, which is fine. I am not happy with it and that is just my opinion too.
  20. I prefer Karl Pilkinton.

  22. Wow, I think you need to change your name from Hypochondriac as you do really seem to have a problem. They would be great posts but for the fact that they were wrong. As for your obsession with calling people names, you should have left that behind in the playground. Sticks and stones and all that. If you really needed to see that picture to understand the horror of what went on I guess you don't have much of an imagination. I am sure you would have been delighted if that picture had included a member of your family. Nice try again at hammering home a point with a sledgehammer. Do you really think that we have not talked to people in the past who have carried out such atrocities at some point in the conflict? But that is not the point here. The point here is that, yet again, you haven't understood the original point and you go off on one on what you think you know. You really aren't very good at this are you?
  23. Apparently there has been a terrorist attack in a Mali hotel this morning. 5 dead so far. And thanks for the Mods for putting the distressing images warning on this thread.
