Lallana would have been out injured and Lambert would have been bench warming. Where would we have been if we had Messi and Ronaldo? Pointless question. Why worry? We could actually have been worse off. We will never know and there are better things to worry about (like who is going to be the next PM).

So he crossed a line but only a small line, one not big enough to prevent him working for his employers again. The Beeb have bottled it.

With an ego that size, why wouldn't he? I don't understand how they feel they can sack him then put him back on the screen within a few weeks. Mind you Ross still takes the Queens shilling on Radio 2. Shame the BBC don't have the courage of their convictions. It is a shame too that the police have dropped the case. One again there is one rule for the celebrities and another for us plebs.

Sarnia, I am sorry if I have missed your comments about the slaying off 50 year old Walter Scott by a police officer (and subsequent attempt to alter the crime scene). The officer was clearly under threat as the overweight Scott ran (well stumbled) in the opposite direction. The brave officer, in fear of his life, put several rounds into Scott's back whilst he was trying that famous attacking manoeuvre (ie running away). Whilst the dangerous man lay on the ground dead, the brave officer approached the body and handcuffed if. He then put then moved a piece of evidence (the stun gun that Scott was supposed to have threatened him with) by the body. Fortunately for us, the brave officer's action were recorded by a passer by (who somehow managed to avoid being filled with holes too) so we have a record of what happened and the officers bravery in the face of grave danger has been kept for use in future training programmes. ps, I'll give you one guess as to Scott's skin colour. Thoughts?

What is 60 feet long and smells of p*ss? The weekly pension queue at the post office.

I wonder how the moaners would feel today if they supported City after the Palace game? There are no certainties in football and you can play a team of the park and still get beaten. True, the goals have dried up but isn't that more about teams no realising what a threat we are and playing deeper. Teams worked us out under Pochettino last year. The problem we have this year is that we don't have enough different options on the bench. Someone of Koeman's experience I am sure will look to remedy that next season. This is a growing process. Would you rather have one great season and then blow out and be rubbish or build on what we have for a sustainable future?

Decent manager. Wonder what would have happened if he had stayed?

Not quite sure what a c*ck up in a tabloid has to do with his ability?

I remember a young player called Michael Channon getting dogs abuse when I went to The Dell for the first few times. The football sages around me told me that he would never be any good as he kept falling on his @rse. JWP is a decent player and will be important for us in seasons to come.

A white horse walks into a bar and asks for a drink. The barman says, "That's amazing, we have a drink named after you." "Wow" says the horse, "You have a drink called Dobbin?"

School document discussing Farage, and his behaviour, published
sadoldgit replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
Where do you draw the line with fairness and impartiality though? Would we give Hitler an easy ride now? There is something very nasty about Ukip. Farage is trying to put a gloss over it all but at the end of the day we all know what Ukip is all about. People need to know what they are voting for if they vote for Ukip. -
So, MOTD say we played well and the fans say we were ****e...
sadoldgit replied to swannymere's topic in The Saints
I remember a non playing football presenter recently saying how much he learned by listening to ex pros talking about the game and about how they saw things that he didn't. If they say we played well, we played well. The doomsayers on here always come on and b*tch when we lose. There is a find line between success and failure, a few inches here and there. Teams like Chelsea have that bit extra to make that difference. We have done brilliantly this season and have only really looked very poor against City and Sheffield United. I have been very proud of the club this season. -
Precisely. Most of us would have given our right arm for the season we have had after so many changes last summer. We were never going to win every game but the way some players (and even the manager sometimes) get pilloried after a loss is appalling. Pelle was not lucky earlier in the season. He scores at the highest level and has shown he can play. When we lose we rarely get played off the park. We are a decent side and worth our place in the league. Yes, there are failings - same with every side. If we build well and learn from this season for next I am more than happy with the way things are going.

This would be Ronald Koeman would it? One of the best players of his generation and a pretty good manager. Looks like he needs to read an internet forum to find out how to do his job. If he is so clueless, how did he keep us in the top 4 for so long?
-
So Liverpool were not remotely worried about United, City, Arsenal, Tottenham etc? It really doesnt work like that.
-
We are good losers aren't we? There were 10 other players on the park today. They all have to share the blame.

What does a 6ft parrot say? Polly wants a biscuit. Right f*cking now!
