If Toby does sign for Spurs it will be because that is where he wants to play his football. Why fret? Life goes on.
  3. I suppose the argument is that if we didn't sell the arms then someone else would. Not saying that this is right. We might also sell arms to someone who then sells them on to terrorists. My point that they will get their arms from somewhere and it wont stop the killing.

What is really odd about this is that a bunch of people with no idea of what has happened behind the scenes have made up what they think has happened based on their own agendas and spent 57 pages bullsh*tting away like crazy when the sun is shining and they could be outside enjoying it.

I don't believe they said that Clyne would sign a new contract. They said they were hopeful that he would. They said that the player said he wanted to sign and that we wanted him. They didn't say he would sign. The summer has just started, come back when it is over if he hasn't moved then. Is there a trend here? Yes it is called negativity towards the Board. It is also called bending the facts to suit your own agenda. And has Toby actually signed for Spurs yet???

Or the Rudi Skacel thread. I thought that Toby was off on his honeymoon at the moment? Do people go to Enfield on honeymoon?

Who did we tread on? I seem to remember paying good prices for the players that we signed.
  9. My point is at what point do you draw the line? The Tunisian atrocity was one of three on that day. There are massacres on a regular basis. There are murders on a regular basis. We have a day every year called Remembrance Sunday - why cant we remember these poor souls then too? It is not just those who died in the World Wars who are remembered.
  10. No one is trying to offend anyone. The point is where do you draw the line with a national minute's silence where people lose their lives in tragic circumstances. How awful was the death of James Bulger? Did we have a minute's silence for him? What makes it worse than any other senseless killing.
  11. You make a good point about British people. Why shouldn't we have a minute's silence for the poor souls who get butchered who are not British nationals? Don't they deserve it too?
  12. and murder victims, those who die of cancer, those who die of heart disease......... What happened in Tunisia was truly horrific but sadly people lose their lives in tragic circumstances every day of the week. Where do you draw the line?
  13. Do you need a minutes silence to remember those who were murdered in that awful massacre?

Why would Reed have to go to Madrid to agree compensation?

July = Wimbledon Fortnight, Test Matches, Alpine meltdown about transfers on internet forum.
  16. If we held a minute's silence for everyone who had ever been killed in a terrorist atrocity no one would speak again.

I cant understand why people get their knickers in a twist when they clearly do not have a clue what is going on. Wait until you know what the situation is and if he goes somewhere else, feel free to wet the bed.
  18. Given that Bertrand was written off before he kicked a ball for us it is good to see that this forum is consistent.
  19. His head's in Barclays.
  20. I think you'll find that they did.
  21. No problem. It looks like this thread will run longer than the Pompey Take Over thread!
  22. Tales was better than some of the critics gave it credit for but probably would have made a better single album. Rick Wakeman wasn't happy with playing the whole thing on tour and left after they toured with it. Subsequently they only played one part of it if any on tour. It was followed by Relayer which is one of their best and there output after that was patchy. They still came up with some classics though. Going For The One as said before plus some good stuff when Trevor Rabin joined on guitar in the 80s. 90125 and Talk were really good. They also did an album with an orchestra called Magnification which is worth a listen. If you can pick up Tales cheaply go for it. The first side is probably as good as Close To The Edge and there are some good Yes moments on the rest of it.
  23. Yep, should of been taught proper at school!
  24. We should not have signed Osvaldo.
  25. Once again a Brit is a plucky loser, just as the football the other night. We still seem to lack the killer instinct. Williams seemed beaten but she managed to find another gear at the right moment to do the business. You can coach all day long but I wonder, if the person isn't hard wired in that way, can you coach a "winner" or is it just something that is inborn?
