  1. Not necessarily. Plenty of terrorist organisations don't claim responsibility and like to keep us guessing.
  2. Sadly I think you are wrong. Characters like Clarkson fed on notoriety and his market value has just gone up big time. There are plenty of people who love him for doing things like this (plenty on this site ) and you can bet there are producers sitting around right now thinking about how they can use him on TV. He also has plenty of other jobs on the go. Ross and Russell continued to work after their Andrew Sachs "jape" and probably found their earnings going up as a result. Wonder what Julian Clary thinks of this though. All he did was make an off colour joke about being late to an awards ceremony because he was fisting Norman Lamont and his career nosed dived.
  3. Nice to see you being so supportive UJ but we aren't talking about a 16 year old here. He is supposed to be a grown man who understands that certain actions have consequences. As much as you admire him it would be nice if you accepted that he is totally up his own b*m and doesn't give a flying f*ck about anyone other than himself?
  4. I find it hard to take a man seriously who sits with his legs spread. Are we supposed to be listening to his pearls of wisdom or staring at his package?
  5. He didn't have a view on Toby but says that we should leave the EU. He just pointed to the news on the TV and said, very bad, terrorist several times, though he could have been talking about me I suppose. Yes, it does look like suicide sadly. Bad enough that you feel so out of it that you want to end your own life, but what on earth was going on in his head that made him take a plane load of people with him. What would have happened if the other pilot hadn't left the cockpit? Would the flight have landed as normal and would he have got over that emotion, would he have topped himself later.....ifs and buts. It doesn't sound planned though, just seemed to take the opportunity once he was alone in the cockpit. Awful.
  6. Is that the yardstick he should be measured with though? Most of us speak more sense than most MPs!
  7. In a week when the news has been dominated by huge events such as the sacking of Jeremy Clarkson and the leaving of One Direction of Zayn Whatshisface, another shattering piece of news. Russell Brand has been voted 4th most influential thinker in the world by readers of current affairs magazine, Prospect.
  8. Shame he didn't think of that before he launched his tirade and fist. But then why would he. His steak and chips were far more important.
  9. Chin up Bearsy, at least the rest will continue to fly the flag!
  10. I bet the remaining singular direction bros are happy. More cash and crumpet all round! Surprised Harry hasn't gone solo yet.
  11. Yep, can't wait to live in a land where I am subservient to someone like George W Bush or Ronald Reagan.
  12. Still struggling with the logistics here. Sarnia is a Brit but lives in Canada yet strongly supports the USA?
  13. Worst suicide case ever.
  14. They could probably make a lot of money from the outtakes!!
  15. Its all supposition at the moment but the fact that a pilot was locked out doesn't sound good. As the decent was controlled I guess the passengers would have been conscious at point of impact? What a nightmare.
  16. I really don't know. I had my haircut by a Turkish guy yesterday. He had poor English but he kept saying he thought it was a terrorist action. At that point I was assuming it was just a tragic accident but didn't know about the locked door. Perhaps it wasn't planned and a spur of the moment thing by the pilot? As you say, it doesn't add up at all.
  17. I think his point is not suicide as such but a deliberate action (as in a terrorist attack).
  18. Yep total c*ck. Could easily have got through the 2nd WW without him.
  19. Really makes you wonder how we managed to stay at 4th for such a long time with such cr@p players.
  20. Never been sure about what constitutes a big club? Trophy cabinet? Crowds? Turn over? Leeds to me used to be a massive club but what have they won in years? Wolves too. There are plenty of "big clubs" in the Championship and League 1. Does that mean they are still big?
  21. Not sure how this works as on second bottle of red but Alpine Saint = Morrissey
  22. He is still responsible for the way The Sun covered the tragedy. Trying to palm it off now doesn't cut it for me.
