  1. Good firm action by the management. Shame he did fit the bill but better sorted now than later.
  2. :mcinnes:...
  3. As a kid I had a choice of subbing for the school 1st X1 or playing in the second team. After a while I decided to play for the second team as I wanted to play for 90 mins. Eventually I got a first team place so it paid off - but I hated being sub.
  4. The Mail publishes a lot more rubbish about Saints than other papers but yes - there is a lot of cr*p printed. For example, Capel was supposed to have been a done deal today.
  5. I know he is getting a sheadload of money, but if you were a decent footballer, wouldnt you actually want to play each week?
  6. You can believe or disbelieve all you like. I am just saying that if you believe everything you read in the Mail you are going to be disappointed.
  7. Mail articles = take with a pinch of salt
  8. Why would the management wait until the day of a match to have that conversation with Morgan's agent? I thought it had been "sorted" before Saturday anyway.
  9. Would he have gone to Brazil though? He wasnt a squad regular before his injury. Who would he have replaced?
  10. I know, I know, shame on me!!!
  11. "Inevitable" ???
  12. Hopefully one of the massive shoals of red herrings swimming about today!!!
  13. Damned if you have ambition, damned if you dont. It is not unreasonable to a club/manager to aim for CL football in x years time. It is unreasonable for a club/manager to say they WILL be playing CL football in x years time.
  14. Hopefully it is a load of idle speculation. The media loves transfer windows and like to stoke up interest by throwing as much speculation out there as possible.
  15. Okay, it just seems very odd when Koeman has stated firmly that he is going nowhere. We'll see I guess.
  16. How do you know?
  17. Koeman said he was part of his plans. Daily Mail not best place for facts. Not sure about insurance issues when signing players with serious injuries. I'll believe it if and when it happens.
  18. Not just that but players often get other injuries as they have been out of action a while.
  19. Thats rich coming from one of the most insensitive posters on here!

    Shane Long

Everything is relative. If we get better service from Long than we did from Osvaldo (which wont be difficult) the you could argue that it has been money well spent.Transfer fees and footballers wages seem to operate in their own universe but I do wonder if the fees quoted ever actually get paid. Given the money we got for Shaw and Chambers I am not going to lose any sleep over what we paid fo Long.
  21. So, can we agree that the club is not a joke. That the Board have found an excellent replacement for the previous manager based on what we have seen so far, that we probably wont be relegated this year, that the so called "fire sale" wasnt anything of the sort and that the players who have come in aren't rubbish (so far)?
  22. And with plenty of competition in that department as his brother is no oil painting.
  23. Bloody hell, we win a game of football and are at each others throats! Lets just enjoy the win and look forward to the next match when it will all start again.
  24. We????? What do you plan to do? Hold Kat hostage and only let her go at the end of the season if the Board "support" the man they emplyed to run the club in the first place???
  25. Just as we weren't relegation fodder after the WBA match we arent world beaters after the WHU match. What we aren't though is what many people wanted to believe and that is nailed on for the drop. Anywhere mid table will do for me after the summer we have had.
