Not really. Farage didn't bite and just sat back and let Brand make himself look silly. There was one small section when some of the audience got lively and a guy suggested that Brand should stand for Parliament (Brand just replied that he didn't want to turn into one of them which was a total cop out). I agree with Lord Duck about the dumbing down of the programme. It really needs revamping big time.

Just watched last week's Question Time and was looking forward to the fireworks between these two but it turned into a damp squib. Brand seemed to lose his nerve after he was slapped down by the ladies and Nige seemed to be happy to sit back and let him hang himself.

I hope he gets another chance in the Premiership. Reading wasn't a good career move for him.

Nils Lofgren on the live acoustic version of Keith Don't Go is superb. Also, although not a guitar solo the guitar parts on the Yes track Gates of Delirium by Steve Howe are awesome.

Best three - Greg Lake, The Pogues and Slade.

But then we will sack Koeman and get Hoddle in and all will be fine.

Reasons for Adam Lallana not to go to Liverpool

He is earning a lot more money no though - unless he is getting paid for minutes on the pitch -
I thought we had progressed from the rack and the thumbscrews to truth serums etc? Clearly not.

We are all entitled to our opinions and I don't think that Yoshida is good enough at the level we want to play at. I am not alone but clearly RK thinks he is better than Gardos. Yoshida made a howler last night that he managed to get away with and you can bet you will get one of those at least a match. Our form tends to dip when he plays. Sorry, not a fan. 4th choice for me.

Apart from City we have only lost matches by the odd goal. Still a loss I know but the margins are very narrow. We are a decent team.

We Spent Nearly £40mill on Mane, Long, Forster and Gardos

And were are one of the best team in the Premiership. Let that sink in for a while. -
Rooney was rubbish as were most of United last night. I don't think it was down to how Yoshida played to be fair.
-
I thought we have already offered him a new contract?

You would like to think that they would go right back to the beginning and double check everything in the case, including the evidence of all of the Tapas 7 and the McCanns.

He is a PL player, but in my opinion he is more of a QPR/Crystal Palace level player.

I am not a Yoshida fan but he wasn't too bad last night. He was caught knapping on the ball in the penalty area and he does tend to lose concentration at times but as a 4th back up CH he is ok. When I see his name on the team sheet though I always worry and I really do not think he is consistently good enough if we are looking for a top 6 place. I am very surprised that he keeps Gardos out of the team and it makes me wonder why we bought him if he is no better than Yoshida.

Many goals go through the keepers legs. If you don't spread you legs you have less balance and less movement. He has no idea where RVPs flick was going and no help from the defenders who were all left ball watching. Keepers are the last line of defence and if they make an error it is all their fault. What about the chances we missed at the other end???
-
I still think it is harsh to blame Forster for the first. The blame is solely down to Fonte in my book. Players like Van Persie don't miss many of those gifts. There were also a queue of Untied players at the far post for the second. Where was the marking? When Forster lets one in from the opposition keeper or tries to beat a player in his own area I will question his signing.

So the Sky jinx hits us again. I'd be interested to see the win/loss ratio when we have been on Sky. If Gardos is no better than Yoshida then why buy him? Yoshida is just not good enough at this level and was caught knapping on the ball once or twice again last night. Didn't do a lot wrong but just looks what he is, a makeweight. Would also have liked to see Reed on last night. Don't get Mane at all. Just hope Ron manages to help him become more consistent and make better decisions. Was lucky not to get sent off last night with that stupid challenge on RVP. Wouldn't it be great to have a world class goal scorer up front? RVP got them out of jail last night. Is Mayuka better than Igrove? Watched the match with a United supporting mate last night and he was very embarrassed at the final whistle!

There were two or three players free Whitey.

But would you also agree that we aren't going to be relegated? That was the consensus of many in the summer. No one thought we would finish top 4 then. We have had a really good season so far and have not disgraced ourselves against the so called top 4 teams. We looked so much better than Manchester United last night.
-
Forster should have done better but where was the marking? You cant just assume the keeper is going to deal with that ball and leave a player of Van Persie's class free at the far post.

Perhaps complacency is creeping in? We have given soft goals away against both City and United. Last night was very disappointing as United were awful and it was a game we should have won but not only did we make mistakes at the back, we made mistakes up front too. All to often we tried another pass instead of shooting.
