If I had an obsession with them i would repost their views on a regular basis. There is no need as most people now know what they stand for. Both would be at home in the Reform Party and, given their standing in the polls, it is reason enough not to let these things slide. Another odd thing on here, there are plenty of posters on here who constantly call out Trump and his behaviour, yet there is only a couple of die hard Trump supporters who throw the TDS around at his detractors. Why is that not seen as obsessive behaviour by the usual suspects too? Talking of Trump, if I had an obsession with “far right” figures I would have known all about, and posted about, Charlie Knight. I have Wish You Were Here and Momentary Lapse of Reason but find most of it one paced, a bit druggy and soporific I was never into “pot” so that didn’t help. Dark Side of the Moon passed me by, probably because of the massive hype back in 1973, and I never really bothered with it after that. With Radiohead I loved The Bends and OK Computer but, for me, they lost the plot after that and I lost interest in them. It would be a very boring world if we all liked the same thing, eh?

I could never warm to Ferry’s voice so agree with that choice. I also thought that The Clash were highly overrated, but then I didn’t care for the whole Punk/New Wave thing as there was nothing new about it . It was all derivative and they all stole from the bands that they slagged off as being dinosaurs. I’ll give The Stranglers a pass though because although they ripped off The Doors they had a great sound. Apart from a couple of albums I struggle with Radiohead. The same with Pink Floyd. Also struggled with all of the poodle haired American rock bands that were everywhere in the 8O’s. Oh, and E.L.O. will forever grind my gears. Next Beatles my arse. And Blur.

I quite agree that there is a broad spectrum on both the Left and on the right. I don’t think that the people I have mentioned and who have been supported by some on here (Trump, Farage, Robinson etc) are remotely centre right or just medium right. They are all what any politically commentator would call “far right.”

I have been on this forum for 19 years. My posting style has been developed over the years by being constantly attacked by people who have an issue with me attacking people like Trump, Farage, Robinson, Hopkins etc. and their opinions. I don’t see you defending my right of free speech. Is that because you sympathise with the things that I don’t agree with? I disagree with your opinion about the resurgence of the right. I think people now feel emboldened to say what they think because the see people in the public eye getting away with it. It never went away. It just went underground. People call people like Trump and Farage racist because they are, not because they are misunderstood. People are getting upset because they are being called out for what they are and don’t like hearing the truth.

In your opinion. For example there are plenty of clear examples of Islamophobia on this forum. There are clear examples of support for people with far right views on this forum.
