  1. No surprise that the casualty figures are down with the lower speed limit. The 20mph limit is very unpopular though. Will the figures make any difference in attitudes or will people still be happy to trade another 10mph for a higher death toll? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cydvr2rnm4ro.amp
  2. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/southport-far-right-disinformation-russia-b2589041.html Why wouldn’t they? It’s an easy win for them.
  3. You’re such a charmer.
  4. Not going to answer the question then? You sound like one of them.
  5. The BBC news tonight glossed over this. https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/flares-thrown-towards-downing-street-as-violent-mob-clashes-with-police/
  6. Quality reply as usual. So come on. Where are all the riots when white English people commit terrible crimes? Perhaps answer the question instead of resorting to childish name calling. You didn’t answer the question because you can’t. So the next question I have for you is do you think it is okay for a bunch of thugs to run riot when the possible perpetrator is “not one of us?”
  7. Help me out here. I have been looking for the news of the riots that kicked off when Lucy Letby killed those babies.
  8. Still sucking up to Turkish and his buddies?
  9. Can you explain something to me? How come when a white British person kills or rapes someone nothing happens in terms of social unrest, but if an “immigrant” rapes or kills someone (or even if they don’t and it is just a rumour) it often all kicks off?
  10. You should know. You come to the defence of the people who speak for them often enough.
  11. It doesn’t come as a shock at all when a far right group kick off. It is what they do. They are in it for the violence. https://www.protectuk.police.uk/threat-risk/threat-analysis/threat-extreme-right-wing-terrorism
  12. The only people who reacted in volatile ways were the right wing thugs of the EDL and those winding them up. Normal people were being respectful of the grieving families and. Immunity and were letting the police and the CJS get on with their job of dealing with the suspect.

Is Netanyahu really interested in peace or just putting more people under rubble? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clly4v4l13vo.amp
  14. Climate change protesters get 5 years in prison. What will happen to the racist thugs who turned up last night to riot when people were grieving and dealing with the aftermath of a major tragedy nearby?
  15. It’s a default position for the right. Wave a flag, talk about “sovereignty,” blame everything on immigrants and others who are “different to ‘us’.” A Badenoch Tory Party and Reform are two sides of the same coin.

    And you call me thick.
  17. This is the sort of person who rioted last night. The sort of person that Reform speaks to. https://www.vice.com/en/article/3k7vyj/my-curious-search-for-that-guy-in-the-muslamic-ray-guns-video
  18. No surprise here. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nigel-farage-southport-stabbings-riots-b2588657.html
  19. As if the affected families and community aren’t suffering enough already. More moronic behaviour from thugs who don’t need much of an excuse to kick off.
  20. The NASA example was a tongue in cheek example of an “modern office” and of course I know that offices/workplaces are different.”Gross assumption” - what is that supposed to mean? That doesn’t alter my original post which now seems to have taken a life of its own by the usual suspects and was just originally pondering a question. Weston, still waiting to hear what I have gone wrong. And my wife enjoys her job and the people she works with. They are all very busy all day long so wouldn’t have time to read you delightful daily contributions here even in their coffee breaks.
  21. I have never said that I was a typing manager. I said that I managed teams who worked on case files for the magistrates courts and later I managed paralegal caseworkers for cases in the crown court. I also managed a sales team at The Guardian. None of this work involved the use of typists in typing pools. The administration of both case work for magistrates courts and crown courts involves a lot more than just typing. I call you thick precisely because of posts like these when you completely fail to grasp basic information and make up something to suit your own agenda.
  22. What exactly is the point I have missed? That some people on here think that offices let you spend your work time on social media when you are supposed to be working?
  23. My wife works in a “modern office.” Her friends work in either “modern offices” or work from home. I just asked her what the general protocol is with social media at work. She says her boss doesn’t mind if she checks her texts and emails occasionally and takes important/urgent personal phone calls. He wouldn’t expect her to log in to a social media platform like this, constantly check posts and respond to them during work time. She is pretty sure that the situation is the same for her friends. Let us take another example. Think of a really “modern office” say, in NASA. Do you really think that any office manager would be happy for someone to log in to a site like TSW, check the posts every few minutes and spend time putting together riddles concerning potential football transfers while they are supposed to be working on important NASA stuff? I am sure they would be more than happy for you to do that in your coffee break and lunch break but I don’t think they would be happy when you are supposed to be doing actual NASA work.
  24. They didn’t get what they wanted. The other pay awards are in line with the recommended amounts by pay reviews. He is not stupid. We need more doctors and this is part of a new recruitment drive. I don’t think others in different circumstances will find him a push over. He didn’t fold on the child benefit cap and hasn’t on other unpopular policies. We hit a brick wall under the last government. Things are moving now.
  25. Trolling on social media is something you do. Work has always been something that you do, where you do it is irrelevant. As for being stuck in the 80’s, you do know that social media didn’t exist in the 80’s? You are just like Weston, so desperate to score points you don’t think about what you are posting.
