I think coaching is very important. Look at the progress that JRod made. Also playing regularly in competitive matches. If he doesnt get many games with us I'd liketo see him go to a decent Championship side for a bit.

Just as pointless using the very first game as an indicator for the season as it was writing us off as relegation candidates just because the team handt had time to gel. It will probably have thrown the bedwetters that we didnt lose 4 or 5 nil and that the club hasnt been sold yet. The club said clearly they intended to move forward and this game has shown that to be the case. Still probably a couple of players shy of where we need to be but the ship has been steadied and we should kick on from here. Well done to RK and to the squad. A worthy start to the season.

Like every new season we start with zero points on the board. What happens happens and there is no guarantee that if Pochettino had stayed we would have pushed on from last year. Let us just enjoy the football and see what happens.

I used to work for The Guardian (and Times and Telegraph) and the prefered route is a balanced piece rather than a biased piece. That is not to say every article is balanced but the ones from the broadsheets have tended to be unilke the stories we have seen in the Mail.

Not at all true Greeridge but I am not going to hang the Board out to dry on half baked gossip, rumour and conjecture. If they say they are not selling up and aim for Europe then until they prove otherwise I am prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. The people they have brought into the club lends credence to what they say at the moment. If you read my past posts I have been very critical of some Boards. Us oldies have been around a while and seen it all before, that is why we are probably more patient and more forgiving.

Then that is good news but how do you know certain jounos dont have an agenda? I dont see many balanced articles from some of them - only one side of the story.

Why is it rotten? For starters we have been told that no bid has been accepted. You seem to be getting worked up over nothing. And if he does go I am sure there are good reasons for it. He may well b*gger off for nothing next year anyway so why get so upset?
