If he had been posting anti Lowe agenda a few years ago would anyone have banned him? Whatever you think of his spin, he did seem to have some genuine facts which is more than most of us on here have.

Anyone who scores over 30 goals a season in the top flight is worth a mint so Big Ron would be right up their with the Drogbas. Paine was one of the best wingers of his time so also worth wedge. Channon was priceless. Williams would be top flight too.

Although we lost to Forest in the League Cup Final his goal was good enough to grace Wembley and to win any final. We could do with his like now.

Thing is though, if Huddersfield worked out that they needed to press us high up the pitch as we play it out from the back, then everyone else will. Do we then resort to the hopeful punt? If NA learned one thing maybe that it to mix it up a bit?

To be fair to Adkins what can you say? Most managers have a script they stick too with a few minor changes here and there. The fans want to hear that the same mistakes aren't going to be made, but we all know that they will be made again at some point. That is why we are in the 3rd Division. This was going to be a tough season for Pardew and nothing has changed for Adkins. If he needs to do one thing quickly it is to get Lambert and Barnard to find the back of the net regularly. We are not scoring enough goals. Sort that out and we shall be okay.

I agree that time is one thing Cortese will not give Adkins, but if Adkins does not deliver does that mean another manager in before the end of the season?

You could well be right, but if we don't go up a change of players might not be a bad thing? Whatever we think of Pardew and Adkins, if we don't go up 2 seasons running with these players in the side, perhaps we have the wrong players?

Pardew's teams won an awful lot of games and scored an awful lot of goals so maybe there was some merit in his tactics?

I assume you are referring to me Mr Fry. I have never said that people need three years to get promotion. What I have said is that most managers take time to get it right and it is unfiar to sack them after a year if they don't succeed at first. Getting rid of Pardew was not a good move in my opinion. Unless NA is rubbish this season I would not sack him either if we don't go up this season. You might think that Cortese has not set us back. I don't agree. I also think it is unfiar to expect Adkins to deliver promotion this season come what may.
