If he listens to Reed and Reed has some responsibility for Pardew going then perhaps he is listening to the wrong people?

Why wouldn't they? If they are successful they are a hero, if not they walk away with shedloads of cash. That is why there are queues for football managers jobs.

Decent manager and did a good job for us. Sadly because he didn't win every game he didn't win over the wrist slitters. I hope he gets a better job.

If you had ever bothered to read my posts you will know that my two top Saints managers have been McMenemy and Bates. Feel free to tell me how I am being dishonest? I have never said that I think that Burley was a great manager for us, simply that as far as points on the board goes he had the best record. I haven't done the stats but suspect that that other "useless" manager Pardew has now pushed him into 2nd place. Given their records I don't see how you can dismiss either of them as being "rubbish."

Well if you bothered to look at the stats you would see that he did, but your aren't one to let the facts get in the way are you Alps? Tell me, if Lowe had come up with a statement about playing "the Southampton style" what would your reaction have been? (ps Until Pardew came along Burley had the best win ratio of any manager we had. You think both managers are rubbish and prefer one that won 3 games in 13)
