Sadly the impatience won't stop when we finally go up. The expectations in some quarters will be instant promotion again. Didn't someone once write something about taking time to smell the roses...and its not the arriving it is the journey?

I don't know about clear favourites DD, but certainly strong contenders. I shall be interested to see what happens in the Summer transfer market. I still think we are a couple of CCC quality players short of being a Leeds or Norwich next season. I would be very surprised if we weren't top 6 for most of next season though.

Another thing I don't get is the hatred directed at people who are just doing their jobs? Where does that come from? I can understand the frustration, but when one regular poster said he wanted to "lump" a recently departed manager you do have to wonder what goes on in these people's heads. At the end of the day it is just a game. If you can't enjoy if for what it is perhaps you should find another outlet for your frustrations?

There is something unholy about the "Premiership", hard to put it into words but it just seems to have lost its soul to cash. I want us to get promoted but it wouldn't bother me if we stayed in the CCC. I just find it hard to identify with all of these foreign imports, as good as many of them are. The CCC seems much more like I remember the good old Division 1 to be like.

Nothing wrong in being a Happy Clapper and enjoying supporting your football club. Surely enjoyment is what it is all about? However some people seem to have certain issues which they seem to excercise through there association with the football club and will always turn anything positive into a neative. I agree with the earlier poster who say rightly that it is not their opinion that is the problem, it is the way they express it. I would add that it is also the fact that they constantly look for something to be negative about that I find draining and, well frankly incredibily tedious. Even if you do put these people on your ignore list you can't avoid their posts because other people repsond to their posts and you see the quotes. It had also gotten to the point where even if you don't read the post you know exactly what they will be saying!!! And all for a fiver too....

Lighten up Alpine and get a sense of humour for goodness sakes. Aferall, if you can't laugh at yourself you might be missing the joke of the century!

Should win? Perhaps but we got a win at Norwich when most people would probably have felt that they should win that. It is the nature of sport and what makes sport so addictive.

After the start we had it was always going to be a tall order. Still, we have the rest of this season and the summer to prepare for a push next year so lots to look forward to.

Makes a change from CEOs I suppose! I am enjoying this season and the last season I enjoyed was when we made the play offs in the CCC. The current manager seems to living on borrowed time as far as some fans here would have it and the previous manager is constantly slagged off here too. I just don't understand why, but each to their own.

The difference is that some of us appreciate that every other club want the same things and only three are going to get it no matter what we do. As for my personal career, I have been the National Sales Manager at The Guardian Media Group and have just recently passed a promotion board where I currently work so I would say that shows some ambition wouldn't you? The point I am trying to make is that other people want these jobs too and only one person gets them. Does that mean that everyone else is a useless loser who just hasn't tried? But that is what you are inferring.

Yep Corky, because they need someone to blame when things go wrong. We had had many whipping boys and in recent times it has been Lowe and Burley, now its Pardew's turn.

Once again dar old Alps, you don't get it do you. There is a marked difference in our posts and attitude. You are totally negative and constantly snipe at managers. I find this very strange as you don't actually see the matches and I wonder how you can form such angry and deep seated opinions from Austria. It doesn't matter where I live and how many matches I see live, I will always support the manager and the team as I appreciate that we are not Brazil and probably will never be world beaters. I hope for the best but I am not about to throw myself off a mountain if we lose, as we will. Your brand of negativity is obsessive and I think you need to have a bit of a break and put your feet up. You sound like you are heading for a breakdown mate. People like Geoge Burley and Alan Pardew are just blokes doing a job to the best of their ability, but you make it sound like they have a personal vendatta against you! I still remember that famous post you made a few years back where you accused Burley of going out of his way to scupper our promotions chances. Really? I don't mind that you ignore my opinions, but Alps, perhaps you should open your eyes and see that many many people on here find your obsessive negativy is a bit odd and don't like it very much.
