  1. So Mrs McCann is now to publish a book in which we get to hear how traumatic this whole sad affair has been for her. Well how about poor Maddy? If you had done your job and been there for her rather than off enjoying yourself this would never have happened. You let her down. I wouldn't wish this on anyone but frankly I am sick off how you continue to drag your guilty pain through the public consciousness. The fault lies solely at the feet of you and your husband. If you had been a couple of chavs your lives would have been made a living hell by the media but because you are a nice, white, middle class couple they seem to bend over backwards to print every utterance and have given you an easy ride. You should be prosectued for child neglect. Having children is a ful time job. If you want time out for a while then you get someone in to care for them, you don't just leave them on their own. I understand your pain but you are the direct cause and you failed your child. Now please go away and grieve in private.
  2. Probably on my own here but I never rated Nicholl. I didn't think he was the man to build on Lawrie's legacy and he didn't. I feel we gradually went backwards under him and he failed to make the most of the fine young talent he inherited.
  3. A bit hardsh considering he had the best points per game total before Pardew and Adkins came along and made the play offs in his only full season. He couldn't build on that season as he had his best players sold from under him and the whole thing went to pot after that. Certainly not the best, but his teams did score lots of goals and win games and that was something we had lacked for a while.
  4. Stranger things have happened, although with us you just know that we love to make things hard for ourselves. Still....we can only hope!
  5. ...for a change we did our wheeling and dealing in the early part of the close season and had our squad sorted before the start of the season? I know it isn't our way but surely now that we are in a healthier financial position it would be better to sort the squad, get everyone settled and focussed well before the start of the new season and hit the ground running?
  6. Because they were/are a better all round team than us. Hence the need to strengthen in certain areas.

    league 1

    Good riddance
  8. Perhaps its his phone thats dead?
  9. Who cares? Really? We are up. He can say what he likes but nothing will change that.
  10. It worked with Saddam Hussien didn't it?
  11. Job done. Roll on next season!
  12. Hats of to them. They must be choked to have done so well but still have to go through the play off lottery. They probably did us a favour by pushing us so hard. Hope they go up.
  13. What he said. Excellent job by the manager, coaching staff and the team. We built on the solid foundations of last season this season. Hope the momentum keeps going next season.
  14. It he was involved Phil he certainly did not act alone. He may well be gone but others will take his place.
  15. I agree. if not 2nd then up through the play offs. Nigel inherited a good set up and some decent players. His real work will begin next season. It will be interest to see the players he brings in. It will also be interesting to see how much money he is given to strengthen the squad.
  16. Lost none of your charm I see Alps. With you racists comments I can see now why you have gone to live in Austria. The call of the Master Race was too strong for you to resist!
  17. 1965/66 season. Lost 1-0 at Selhurst Park. Martin Chivers sent off. My first ever live game. Was a south Londoner but came away a life supporter of Saints rather than Palace!!! I think it was the red and white stripes that did it!
  18. My point excactly. I think we have more in the locker. I don't think we have the best team in this league but we do have several of the best individuals. If we can win so often when we are not firing on all cylinders for 90 mins we should be home and dry if Adkins can get the whole team playing consistently through the ranks. But even if not, we have enough match winners in the side to get the job done.
  19. Yeah Alps, let's equate the outcome of a Divsion 1 football match with those of events on a world stage which effect billions of people.
  20. It does all sound a bit odd doesn't it? Plus the indecent haste in which the body was allegedly dumped in the sea. The days when the good guys wore white hats and the bad guys wore black hats were over years ago (if they ever actually existed). We were fed a pack of lies about the so called weapons of mass destruction, whose to say that this fella had anything to do with 9-11? And now he will never be found guilty in a court of law. One thing is for certain, the world just became a more dangerous place, not a safer one.
  21. Given that we always seem to trip ourselves us with these games in hand it is a worry. But the form of late and team spirit should carry us through. We haven't been playing particuarly well but we have been winning. The good news is that it is in our own hands and we have an extra game. I am sure we shall be okay. Fair play to Huddersfield too. I hope they go up through the pay offs.
  22. Climate change is real. Man speading up climate change by pouring crap into the atmosphere and destroying the rain forests is also real.
  23. Unfortunately where I work I see the results of this all of the time. Some women think it is ok to turn on blokes. Trouble is some blokes then think it is ok to go and take what they want. And no I am not mental. I have 3 young daughters and it scares the hell out of me knowing that there are people out there who think women are gagging for it. Sadly some women, by playing up to this, don't help the situation.
  24. I bet you were a wow in the school playground Alps. Nice to see that you have lost none of your spite and mean spirtiness. I am guessing that, as we are all descended from monkeys, we all have some kind of "baboon face" thing going on. We won again yesterday and are within a hair's breath of promotion. Time to be happy perhaps?
  25. Still doesn't alter the fact that he finally won us some silverware, brought in some quality players and probably would have got us up last year if it hadn't been for the minus 10. Still, it wouldn't be a Saints forum if we didn't knock people who have done a decent job for us would it?
