  1. Can you not see how dumb your replies are? Perhaps get a grown up to read and explain posts before you reply? The referendum wasn’t based on PR. The result is neither here nor there. It was the way the referendum was framed that I take issue with, not the result. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_United_Kingdom_Alternative_Vote_referendum
  2. Calum Chambers on his way to Cardiff apparently.
  3. Of course I understand it. I also understand that if I was given information from the club that they didn’t want to be spread, then I would keep quiet and not put out information or even clues. What I struggle to understand is why, if you aren’t supposed to pass information on, you do, even if it is cryptic. If I was the loose lip at the club I would be very unhappy that I was passing on information to other even looser lips.
  4. Libelous insults? 😂 If this thread is for “facts”, as you say, why not publish “facts” and not indulge in childish riddles? As for this LLSS nonsense, if the club don’t want this information widely spread, why do it?
  5. Maybe not the current government, but they have a lot of MPs! If the current government can be persuaded that it is in their best interest long term, who knows what might happen. There was a point when we thought that there was unlikely to be a referendum on leaving or staying in the EU. As we have seen, pressure groups can make a difference. Anyway, the point of this thread is to discuss the merits or otherwise of a different electoral system, not what the present government thinks about it presently.
  6. To me he was attempting to block the shoot and it was Kane’s follow through led to the contact. If that had been awarded against us we would be seething. Anyway, we have navigated our way to another final. We have had the easier route but the journey has been mostly tortuous. Fair play to Southgate for his achievement despite his inexplicable team selections and tactics. We will never know if we would have won the previous competitions with a less risk averse coach, but if he manages to beat Spain all will be forgotten and the bloke will be a national hero.
  7. I wasn’t talking to you, but being the narcissist you are, you just have to poke your nose in. You complain about me boring people yet you are happy to carry on with your own childish, boorish, bullying behaviour. LLSS? You really need to grow up.
  8. So it is just a wind up then?
  9. If that is the case, why give clues? You are just playing childish games. If there is a reason that information should not be made public, why continue with this silly games? If loose lips sink ships, your lips are looser than Katie Price’s and you could sink more ships than the Japanese at Pearl Harbour!
  10. Not that anyone here seems remotely interested in the Tory leadership race, but… https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg3eqy1r5q0o.amp
  11. To come on as a late sub and score the goal that puts you in the Euros final must be awesome. His composure was amazing. What a moment.
  12. Mrs SOG (who doesn’t like football) has just said that we won the World Cup the year she was born and we are celebrating her Mum’s 80th birthday this weekend, so it is a sign. Apparently 🥳🏆
  13. Spain are the better side but won’t sit back or put everyone behind the ball. We look better when we have more space to play in. We might just do this.
  14. Perhaps we could have made it a bit easier, but fair play to Southgate, he has done his job. Now go on and win it!
  15. If he is missing a left foot we are in trouble!
  16. Finally looking like a team
  17. Foden finally looking like Foden
  18. I was wondering if our luck was going to run out tonight…not so far!
  19. Harsh but thanks!
  20. Bugger
  21. Oh well, no surprises there sadly. Gakpo has been lively this tournament but they are beatable. Maybe we will turn up tonight?
  22. This has nothing to do with individual parties. It is about an equitable system of seats gained against votes cast. Which is why an independent body needs to be set up to look at it. There is plenty of support amongst Labour MPs and Trades Unions for PR and a strong argument that Labour would do better in that system in a normal election situation (one not skewed by the electorate looking for a change after a long period of governance by a Tory party that ran out of steam and ideas). If Reform stick around and the Tories can sort themselves out they also might see the benefit in a system that wouldn’t cut them so far adrift. The LibDems have a bigger voice now and they will be pushing for it. The issue isn’t going to go away.
  23. Have you stopped to think that is because the people who take great delight in derailing threads I am on are doing the same thing here? Perhaps, if you stopped behaving like children we could have some serious discussions.
  24. Although I think many of us would bench Kane tonight but understand that Southgate will stick with him as a starter come what may, surely it is a no brainer to start Shaw ahead of Trippier if fit to start? We have been underperformed in every match so far. Why on earth would you stick with the same stating X1, unless changes were enforced by suspension/injuries, with so many decent options on the bench?
