Well you can reduce peoples wages if they are long term sick , even in my day we got 6 months full pay and then HALF pay after that . Of course people staggered back to work just before 6 months was up and then went sick again thus resetting the 6 months ! Shopworkers (in the seventies) did not get paid for going sick on a Friday or Monday and were only given sick pay for two WEEKS. These days people are on joke self employed contracts which means they get NO sick pay . People now go to work when ill as they would be called in for an interview and grilled about going sick etc etc , of course this meant the really ill got hauled in for a stiff interview while the "professionals" knew when to ease off ringing in spoof sick until the reporting period reset ! FF should be well set up financially now and he may want to try something else , good wishes to him anyway .

My point was , although Liverpool are irritating and we would like them to do a Newcastle , the alternative is Man C which is in fact worse. Man U also but Spurs ? Well not so bad ! Jumpers etc refering to old style clubs but are there any left ? Bournemouth ??

The thing is if Liverpool lose the title to Man City we can go HA HA Liverpool but then the winners would be Man City , a club bought and had millions pumped into it just to give it's dodgy owners a better reputation for their country , nothing to do with jumpers for goalposts ..........................

I wasn't suggesting Cardiff don't have to pay just that it was badly timed with the search in progress . I thought both clubs should have shown a bit more professionalism especially after the respect shown before the Cardiff game. That was all .

Perhaps he's not mentally fit yet , I wonder about goalkeepers , Carson was thrown into the deep end for England and due to a bobble of the ball off the pitch let in a goal that meant England fail to qualify , since then he went downhill but is still playing at a lower level. Hart was England No1 as well as Man C but now he can't get a game for Burnley.

It still begs the question "why on earth would you let a £15M asset make his own way via a tin pot plane/pilot etc " It is also beyond belief that a player on £40K a week would try to drive himself home after 10 pints and 12 cocktails but what do I know ?

I thought part of the rumour was that FF had agreed to reduced pay while he was ill , when does that end or is it still the case ?? or was it a red herring ?

Wanyama was good a few years ago but can’t get a game . I remember his passing quality ie poor and his attitude when he thought he could do better so no not wanted back at St Mary’s.

Defending yesterday was poor , never mind about "high press" what about a bit of pressure / challenging when in our own half ? If we get a new manager let's hope he can sort the defense out , meanwhile what a poor finish by Gabbi , more like a back pass to the keeper !

Apart from his lack of height so can't defend a high ball , yesterday he just stood around in the box and failed to notice or even attempt to challenge their attackers as they scored . His contribution was to wave his arms about after the ball went in our net . This applied to the other "defenders" as well who stood around watching the man with the ball and failing to get any sort of challenge in !!!
