I don't know why The Prem and FA fail to think these things through and do their own anti racism thing relevant to football , by that I mean making an effort to get more divergency in coaching and management roles . That way it would not be politicised but you wonder if the quality of leadership is there in football. BLM is a loose organization , anyone can set up a chapter and join so there are extreme ideas and elements associated with them . This has been exploited by Trump and his extreme right wing supporters . This has lead to a 17 year old wandering the streets during the protests with a high powered rifle shooting 3 people , at least one died , he has appeared in court and is out on 1M dollar bail , not sure who stumped that up . I think the knee was relevent to USA as it was during the Stars and Stripes where everyone is supposed to stand with hand on heart , it doesn't really translate so stop it now.

Im not saying it was racist , the coach who got the red card did . He was probably angry about getting a red card . My comment is with the benefit of hindsight but the situation has gone a bit mad so any sensible comment is probably pointless now .

As fourth official he should be aware who the management teams are and what their names or job titles are so no need to say “the black bloke” .

No , the club gave them all a letter as they turned up telling them how to behave plus they did their own symbolic act so they could be different so no need for their far right fans to boo what they thought was a lefty supporting knee taking .

Taking the knee in USA was making a point because they did it when their National Anthem was being played . So rather than standing to attention and putting their hand over their heart while turning to face the flag they kneeled on one knee. They said they were doing it to pressure the State to take action to stop black people being killed when being arrested. Here it doesn’t have quite the same resonance which is why football needs a new plan.

Defund the police is a poor choise of words for the actual policy suggestion . The suggestion is that money is spent improving peoples situation to reduce the causes of crime rather than spending more on law enforcement . Ideally spend money on both that way you might meet a police person in the street rather than only seeing them in patrol cars on the motorways or outside bars on match days !!!
