If you read about the way people were abducted from Africa , the conditions on the Ships during transport , the fact they were thrown overboard when they were in bad health, or the ship encountered bad weather . Then the appalling treatment they received on arrival is difficult to comprehend. At the time the UK made fortunes from this trade. Since then the slaves , even when emancipated, have been subjected to discrimination. In recent times all statistics show people of colour are discriminated against by stop and search and now lockdown fines . I read yesterday about a computer programmer who was not easily identified by his voice or name so got interviews for jobs , he got a job but was subjected to complete surprise when he turned up for interviews. When giving presentations on technical issues to a group , the questions about his presentation were directed to the other members of his team who weren’t Of colour. He had numerous examples of being ignored or of being told he was in the wrong room as they were having a meeting etc ! Taking the knee , well like all these campaigns pressure is put on people , a bit like Poppy wearing during remembrance .

I’d got out of the habit of post match depression during the break ! So maybe not fans negativity causing poor home form or do the players think the season is over for them because they think Saints are safe ?

The schools are still open , the teachers are looking after essential workers children and also teaching remotely . I'm not sure their Union can protect them much these days . We haven’t got a test , trace , isolate system in place yet so mass mixing will spark off a rapid spread of the virus. I agree if you are well any no one you know have the virus / died then you could wonder what all the fuss was about. Relaxers say we are ok to make our own decisions but from what I have seen that’s not true . Tesco , Waitrose , Sainsbury’s all have systems ie clean trolleys, controlled numbers , a one way system and Controlled access to checkouts . I have been told that Aldi , Lidl and Morrison’s are a free for all , no distancing or control measures.

Also Nice to see Tories are really worrying about disadvantaged children’s education so the schools/childminders must open on 1st June ! Tell people what safety measures you are carrying out and when your 5 targets are met then talk about opening schools to the rest of the population.
