Apparently the huge sponsership deals with the owners airline were to make the books look good and they also inflated other commercial deals. This I assume gives them plenty of leeway under FFP rules about not running at a loss and ability to spend .

Also suffering from brain damage from repeated heading , didn’t realise he played for Saints . http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51507662

RH contract thread - why is it 'closed'?

Perhaps they are giving the impression the club is financially sound and therefore a bargain Prem buy ! -

Saints v Spurs (FA Cup) Match & Reactions Thread
East Kent Saint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Yellow cards for removing shirt update , queried today with someone in Fifa who made the decision : It is to protect sponsors to make sure they get max exposure at key moments ie when a goal is scored ! So all about money ...... On BBC sport football section after today’s events . -
Wolves just a flash in the pan then !

First 4 away wins since 2014/2015 say BBC -
So Saints 2 , VAR 3 !
-
MLT was a match player , not a great trainer we are told ! I read today that Aguero was thought to be rubbish by his team mates until he played in an actual match. I just remember Ron scoring 42 goals in a season !!
-
So without VAR would Saints have lost 4-3 ?
-
Another week when I am looking forward to MOTD !

6 to 9 months out they are saying ......

He says he has studied Liverpool's attacking style and would like to "copy" that style at WH !!!! We shall see ....

If they get rid of mm offside decisions then excellent . They can deem a player onside if they are level as before say if their bodies are overlapping for example. Their suggestions they have made is that they won't go to VAR unless it is a clear and obvious mistake , which we were led to belive was the original cocept of VAR. The other area that is unclear the checking of penalties , they are saying now that if VAR has to look at 6 or 7 camera angles then it is not clear and obvious so the Ref's decision will decide .

Aston Villa 1 - 3 Saints - FT - Reactions and Christmas Cheer!

I did panic when they scored but it’s good to have a none depressing Saturday for a change ! -
We can only assume that there were no other interested parties so GAO it had to be. As for keeping 20% perhaps that was an insurance if Saints were sold on ? What we do know is that we do not know much about Kat’s thinking ,although she apparently shut down other parts of the business empire that were loss making ,so ridding her company of a sporting club that would need continuous investment Was part of a rationalisation.

It was said in the Scottish press that FF was prepared to take a pay cut to get a deal in his old happy home !
-
Best outcome ? Forster continues to have good games for Celtic and a deal is done . Knock on is Saints use free up of wage bill / transfer fee to get 2 proven defenders in , plenty of top clubs use 30 year old proven defenders such as J Evans etc.
-
The point is one minute a goal is being celebrated, then var is consulted and after a long time it is confirmed or denied so the whole experience is ruined . Afterwards the decision appears to be debatable so we are back to square one where one side are in agreement and the other think it’s a fix and the system is biased , a bit like the ref deciding in real time . Verdict VAR is just as bad so scrap it now.
-
It would have been a very harsh penalty . VAR has been a negative so far , spoiling nearly every game.
-
BTW Shaw looks quite ‘wide’ Ha Ha
-
Bompy were totally overrun , Liverpool looked like they had 3 extra players. Granted Bournemouth had 2 players injured but they couldn’t string 2 passes together.
-
In any interview or news article about these two Southampton is never mentioned, it is only Saints fans that remember them. Did I imagine them in a Saints shirt ???
-
Subs playing well are brilliant until they start a match , then they seem to lose their edge , similar to players being really good until they get a new 5 year mega bucks contract .......
