Appeared on ITV pre England match , suffering from dementia now . Showed him heading a great goal for Saints at the Dell but he was then semi comatose lying on the pitch . One the the great old fashioned defenders but itβs cost him and his family.

In our day you could watch a 5 day cricket match on the BBC for just the licence fee , on sundays you could watch every Saints home match on Southern Soccer while eating your sunday roast . Saints at St Marys has varied but since just before covid home matches we attended were more in hope than expectation , but we enjoyed the day out π

Yes Newcastle will be an experience for the Ladies , the football may be good too.
-
We have the players but not the manager to be winning again
-
I think this sort of abuse breaks Saintsweb rules of engagement so you should be sentenced to endless loops of Pellegrino matches for the full 90 mins , as it was in those days , rather than the 110 mins of these days π
-
Moyes ready to start again in the Prem , might as well come to Saints as he would only have to do it till the end of the season and no one would blame him if we go down π

Grumpy old men , like me , don't appreciate the tippy tappy style that many clubs have adopted . The two incidents where the defender has picked the ball up so the keeper can take a proper goal kick shows that the players don't understand it eitherπ The club obviously want to discourage fans who expect our team to RUN up the other end and bang the ball in to the oppos goal on a regular basis , which is now an outdated concept π

He does now in an attacking at speed style of play π

So the team is two separate parts , defence and possibly attack , not actually a team then . That explains it all .

Worst ref performances involving Saints
East Kent Saint replied to warsash saint's topic in The Saints
I feel yesterday with 3 duff decisions involving actual goals was the worst for a while -
We got a mention for being in third place for xG in home games Their home games also have the highest amount of expected goals (xG) with 23.3. West Ham are second (23), with Southampton third (18.22).

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cm2mz4k48wno Red and White stripey shirts as well π

He might change his mind when Saints end up playing to crowds of 10000
-
Even Rickie Lambert would struggle to score in this team , endlessly making runs into space only to see the ball going back over the halfway line π¬ Pelle would have been subbed off for wasting possession by shooting at every opportunity π
-
Still no shots on target , in fact only 1 shot in the second half (83 mins gone already)
-
Perhaps the players get highly praised for tapping the ball sideways and backwards which they find is easy . No wonder they 'like' him π
-
Wolves thinking of sacking O Neil if they fail to beat Saints this weekend !
-
Oh , BBC failed to explain that on the website ! It just said Woking win 3-0 on penalties .
-
City 3-1 down ! after missing a hatful of chances in the first half
-
but bow out 3-0 on penalties πΆ
-
but Saints lost 3-0 on penalties πΆ
-
4-2 now oops
-
He plays every game , all his saves add to his reputation which could get him back in the England squad.
-
Joe Hart on Motd showed how the keeper was unsighted by a defender standing in his line of vision . The keeper was leaning to his left with his weight on his left leg to see the ball so could not dive to the right in time !

A Saturday with an upbeat π So rare but uplifting ! Ok the stats show only 2 on target shots and a late disallowed equaliser but , hooray π
